DO BLACK LIVES MATTER

There is much confusion when trying to understand the “Black Lives Matter” mantra. I feel as strongly as any select group you can find that All Lives Matter.  Unfortunately, our esteemed President, Barack Obama, has single handedly caused the rift between black and white to become larger than it ever has been since the mid-sixties.  Our DOJ has become more politicized than was thought possible to occur while the FBI has lost standing with all races.  All this due to an unqualified, community organizer, being the president.  He was elected with much fanfare as the first black president in the history of our country.

The Black Lives Matter is centered among the unjustified deaths of black men by white cops. I am white so I can’t relate.  I do know one fact that is beyond discussion.  If you do what the police tell you, it drastically lowers the odds of being shot.  I have been pulled over, late at night, in places I probably shouldn’t have been, but when told to keep my hands on the steering wheel, I did.  When asked to show my license, I did, coupled with any other papers they requested.  I didn’t run, talk back or threaten them and things usually worked out all right.

In 2015 there were 102 instances where a black was shot by a policeman. Statistics show that approximately one-third of these were against unarmed victims.   Not all were fatal but regardless, that is too many.  How many of these shootings could have been avoided if the victim obeyed the orders of the police.

If Black Lives Matter is real, why do we turn our back on the bigger picture? It is an accepted fact that black people comprise between 12.7 and 13 percent of the total population.  With that number in mind consider that records show there are six million (6,000,000) pregnancies in the United States annually, on average.  Pregnancies that end with an abortion total about 26.5 percent which relates to one million five hundred ninety thousand abortions (1,590,000) annually.  Once again the sources I researched state that thirty-five (35) percent of all abortions are performed on blacks.  All of this relates to five hundred fifty-six thousand five hundred (556,500) black lives that evidently don’t matter.

Teenage pregnancies and homes without two parents are the vast majority of where these abortions originate. What more evidence do we need to prove that we are drifting from a Christian country with a strong moral fiber?

We can pass all the laws we want, and add them to what we already have on the books, all to no avail. The original laws, the Ten Commandments, need to be taught and abided by black and white alike.  Then we can begin to preach All Lives Matter.  Until this situation of hundreds of thousands of black babies ending up being aborted is addressed, I don’t want any sanctimonious hypocrites yelling Black Lives Matter just to disturb civilized neighborhoods and give way to rioting and looting.  This battle cry has evolved to a call for violence, violence they feel is justified.  What satisfaction do these rioters get in destroying their own neighborhoods? Yes sir, this really makes total sense to me, how about you?

It’s always someone else’s fault isn’t it. We need to quit passing the buck and take action both individually and as a society.  When I was young and was caught doing something wrong it was not uncommon to get punished by a neighbor or other family, and then plenty more when I got home.  I remembered these instances for a long time.  It was not acceptable to bring shame or disgrace in any manner on your family.

Maybe it’s time we look to the past, to have a better future. Let’s teach right and wrong before everyone forgets the difference.
