The English language can be a very difficult language to learn and understand.  If you take the opportunity to talk with an immigrant they will tell you there are too many words that sound similar but are so totally different in meaning.  Our lawmakers are predominantly lawyers and it seems they thrive on trying to make any wording they are working on as confusing as possible.

Two such words are INTERFERE and INTERVENE.  The definition of interfere is very simple and is: “take part or intervene in an activity without invitation or necessity.”  To add to the confusion the opposite word, “intervene” is used in the definition.  In my opinion, that is what we are doing today in the Ukraine.  We have no economic, strategic, or security issues to benefit by becoming involved in the Russia-Ukraine standoff now playing out.

Leaked information concerning a phone call between the Ukraine and our esteemed leader last week reinforced the feelings of the Ukrainians that we need not interfere in their situation until they ask us.  In fact the Ukrainian President flatly asked us to tone down the rhetoric.  Like many of our allies, Ukraine may see our dismal failure in Afghanistan as a warning not to get involved with us.  Under our present leadership we cannot be depended on and the rest of the world knows that.

If we do interfere it will be at the urging of the political left and the mass media, neither of which know how to win a war or even what war really is.  War is not pretty and has tremendous costs in human life, property and time that could be better spent.  We have interfered all over the world and let our politicians cause us to fail.  It is questionable if our military leadership, based on the ones we see on TV, are capable of winning a war with their focus being on political correctness and the woke culture.  Our military needs to revert to military studies and practices.  Our military should kill our enemies and destroy all their future capabilities to conduct war.

A word of warning.  If we do succeed in provoking an armed conflict with Russia over Ukraine it will be terrible.  The conflict will not be regional, but will engulf the entire European community and very possibly bring war to our shores.  Nuclear destruction is a possible outcome.

Intervene is the verb we should focus on regarding both our north and south borders.   The definition for intervene is: “come between so as to prevent or alter a result or course of events.”   We daily have incursions from questionable persons trying to enter from Canada.  Due to cooperation between the U.S.A. and Canada most of these attempts are discovered and stopped.  There is no such cooperation between Mexico and the U.S.A.  When the courts dictate certain actions should take place some liberal idiot intervenes and ignores the rule of law. We have otherwise patriotic Americans following the lure of fast easy money trying to smuggle illegals into this country directly in violation of the law.

At this very moment unfriendly forces are plotting to enter our country from both borders.  In the south is the greatest threat.  Citizens or terrorists from several Middle Eastern nations are coming daily with the goal of destroying us.  Regardless of the inactions of the federal government we the people must interfere with this invasion and stop it in its tracks.  We must give full support to the state, county, and local forces that are battling in the trenches.

We need to immediately reinforce our resources and intervene and interfere with every attempt for anyone to enter our country illegally.  At the same time we need to back off and interfere with every movement to get us into another unnecessary war and intervene on the side of peace.

It is much easier to comfort some people with lies and falsehoods than it is others with facts and truth.  Truth is, it is our country and we must defend it, at all costs.  Then we can build back better, not before.
