VISIONS

From this hill on which I stand
I see a Part of our great land.
A place where men should willing be
To give their lives, to keep it free.

The rolling hills and valleys green
Protect the lakes and wandering streams.
Places we have, where orchards grow
The meaning of life can only show.

With just one spark a forest burns
So it is now, As those rebels churn.
Deserts bare, where only cactus grow
The ruin of a nation, this can show.

Floating above the clouds so white
I view my country with all it’s might
As thoughts rush through my body’s veins
Of freedoms cost in bloody stains.

Wishing you a happy, healthy and thoughtful Memorial Day weekend.

  1. Well said. Prayers for our county’s future and thankful prayers for those who gave all for our freedom. God bless The United States of America.
