We open our eyes and can’t help but see we are a nation divided. In the simplest of ways we are divided east against west, north against south and mountains against valleys. We are divided Republican against Democrat and conservative against liberal. On the deepest level we find ourselves divided as believers against non-believers.
The history of our nation has eras that are not glorious, fair or just. Minorities have been treated in ways that no human should have ever been treated. However, that treatment took place long ago and, as a nation, we have made giant steps to rectify any unfair situations and circumstances. In recent history that most of us have experienced we have mostly been united in the civil rights movements that bettered the lives of most mistreated minorities if they were mature enough to accept the changes. Now we find these same minority groups attempting to roll back any advances made so they can languish in an environment of self-pity.
Politics today have become so portioned that there is no effective government action being practiced. The search and battle for money, power and self-promotion has over ruled any degree of sanity and attempts at governance. The divide along policy lines and party partisanship is so wide there has yet to be a bridge built that will span the chasm.
The rampant division we are experiencing is not new. There are forces that have worked for decades to cause this split. In the early 1960’s John Steinbeck wrote in “Travels With Charley: “Americans are much more American than they are Northerners, Southerners, Westerners, or Easterners….California Chinese, Boston Irish, Wisconsin German, yes, and Alabama Negroes, have more in common than they have apart….The American identity is an exact and provable thing.” Simply stated this means we have more in common as a nation of differing people that we have differences. Until we come together as a group of United Caring Americans we will never settle any remaining differences or disagreements.
As believers we should accept the challenge of our creator and have compassion for all races and sects. We all only truly want a better life for each and every one. Jesus walked this earth, not showing prejudice to any group of people, offering the grace God has laid before us. This grace is the one thing you cannot buy for any amount of gold. It is there to be taken if you will but accept it. Once we are wrapped in faith and grace the road to unity, peace and calm will be plainly laying in front of us.
I have limited vision see things in black and white, this I need to change. Democrats and Republicans appear to me as classic good versus evil, believers versus non-believers, this I need to change. I pray for help making the change and knowing that until we all cross the bridge and change there will be calm.
As a citizenry of United Americans we can save our country. Until then our challenge is to oust the evil, blindfolded leaders that are leading the division wars from posts of influence. 2022 is coming and we have one more opportunity to fire the power mongering, self-serving rabble rousers. We need to send the Al Sharpton’s of the world back into the dark holes from whence they came and move forward to making America great once again. We will never be great, powerful or respected around the globe as long as we continue on the path we now find ourselves.
It is very easy to comfort many people with lies, however, as for me I would rather be hurt but only with the truth.

Amen my friend ! Only the Grace of God can oust the evil that is taking over our Country and her People 🙏
