I have written before in earlier posts there was time in the history of our great nation when voters were very critical of the choices they would make. Often one would hear the phrase that the person seeking office was a person of good moral character. Another popular description was that the person had solid morals and would work hard to support and protect the constitution. Have these descriptions become a thing of the past with the complete lapse of dignity we now see in our political candidates and the world they slither around in. Republicans, we must stop letting the Democrats get a free pass with use of rudeness, insulting lack of dignity. They will continue to act that way as long as we let them.
I can remember a time not long past that the Democrat Party was considered the party of the common man. If that is their claim today, I want no part of the party or to be considered a common man. I strive to express my opinion and preferences in each article I pen, without vulgarity, profanity or outright rudeness for the opposing views and those expressing them. The Democrat Party and its leadership cannot offer an argument or view point on any subject without being nasty, often profane and normally degrading to others. This attitude has driven me as far to the opposite side as I can go, and while not perfect, I see no way one can consider themselves as Christian or moral and be a member of or support the Democrat Party. You become what you support and take part in. Dignity means being valued and respected for what you are, what you believe in, and how you live your life.
Whether good or bad the reality is we live in a world of 24/7 television coverage around the world. Whatever is said or done is broadcast around the world instantly and repeated over and over. Over the past week I have seen displays of ignorance and rudeness that has never been matched anywhere at any time. The series of hearings were not hearings but were an attempt to belittle others and ridicule serious political issues. Do the elected, supposedly educated, representatives not realize they are showing their uncouth behavior around the world for all to see? One would think that after witnessing the escapades of the Clintons, especially William Jefferson, that democrats would be smart enough not to air their dirty linens and stupidity in public for all to marvel at and hide from.
At a time like this we have loved ones and family members that are becoming statistics for the China Virus. At these heartbreaking times we are not allowed to gather and pay homage to them in our churches and chapels or in a group of over ten at graveside services. However the ruling elite have different rules and gather at numerous sites and hold memorial services for one of their own. During these events how could one past president, a racist, a pathological liar and arrogant beyond measure be allowed to turn such a solemn affair into a degrading, slandering political speech to the rousing cheers of hundreds. It is a new height in lowness, even for Barack Obama, to politicize this environment under the auspices of paying honor to John Lewis. It makes one wonder if this man ever had any dignity at all.
Dignity is one of the most important things to the human spirit. It means treating other people the way we’d like to be treated ourselves. The only explanation I can come up with is that this group has made a deal with Satan and lost their souls for earthly fame and riches. In so doing they have lost any remnant of a conscience they might ever have had. God bless them in their wayward travels.
Politicians of both parties need to wake up. I think both parties have lost a certain amount of their direction and moral compass. Dignity should dictate the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect. Democratic members of Congress, along with certain recent Rino members of the Republican Party, you have no dignity remaining. You have accomplished nothing good for our country but you definitely shamed and embarrassed us before the jury of the world. What a legacy you are leaving behind.
I want to leave you with one thought. If you consider yourself a Democrat, look inside yourself, analyze what you are and what you stand for. After enjoying the luxuries this country has afforded you I cannot understand how anyone can support a group totally committed to destroying all that is right and good. This is proof we have abandoned God in our country, in our day. Become educated and use the common sense and reasoning God gave us all as a talent.
A collection of diverse friends with equally diverse thoughts is the single most interesting way to gain knowledge.
