SCIENCE

There is strong debate in the scientific community concerning climate change and the coming destruction of planet earth. We have differing opinions by noted and respectable scientists on whether the planet is cooling or heating. One thing is for certain climate change is real, but probably not to the extremes the politicians are now preaching. Over the history of mankind we have recorded record lows and record highs. As normal the politicians have exaggerated the situation. I believe that God created this planet for his pleasure and it will stay intact until he is ready for it to end. The activities of man cannot destroy what God made.

Scientists also debate dreams. There is much discussion about how many dreams a person can experience in a single night. There is not a fixed number yet but it is fact some dreams make larger impacts than others. To me it seems the most unsettling dreams are the ones that stay with you the longest and remain most vivid. Many times I wake up within a nervous state with the end of the dream remaining unsolved. I may find myself on the edge of death yet somehow I have survived them all.

One dream I have had on more than one occasion lately involves the weather. In this dream I find myself sitting in my swing on the back patio, sipping my morning coffee, watching white fluffy clouds float high above across the sky. Suddenly, out of nowhere a jet liner comes streaking toward a large cloud. It disappears out of sight and almost immediately a loud boom followed by ear piercing noises come from the cloud. Parts of the aircraft begin to descend, floating to the ground beneath. Following the parts of the plane a new cloud emerges. Upon closer inspection I see the new cloud is composed of nothing more than papers and file folders. Scattered among the papers are large letters of the alphabet, just lying about, not on paper or any substance, just the letters by themselves.

As I awaken and begin to process the events that just unfurled in the dream, I question the meaning of it and the warning it may forecast. It begins to take shape and is clear as it can be. The airplane on its flight ran into a storage cloud. The data gathered there blocked the flight path and the plane came apart and crashed. Blocked by data and files stored on this cloud.

Now in real life I don’t think this could ever happen. However there is a lot about technology I don’t know or understand. When composing articles on my computer it often asks if I am going to save and store the particular document on the cloud. I don’t know what that means so I always answer no. If we are truly storing all this data on clouds will they ever get full? Will these clouds, full of this data cause incidents like the one in my dream?

Technology and all its advances are wonderful. I wish I could better partake in all this, I’m just limited. All I can say is keep on going, I’ll not be the cause all the clouds are full and you can enjoy them and imagine what animals and formations they resemble.

Now I depart for Dallas to attend the Trump Rally at the American Airlines center on Thursday. Maybe I’ll see you there.

  1. Please tell me you had bourbon in the coffee when you were staring into the clouds.

    Have a safe trip.
