Whether one has experienced good fortune this year or not, we can all clear our heads with the realization 2018 is almost over. Only twenty days remain in this roller coaster year. We need to take time and formulate what resolutions we plan on pledging for the New Year. I would love for everyone, in unison, resolve to invest in more and better communication.
I have repeatedly been embarrassed by the lack of understanding expressed upon receiving communication from the voters by our astute congress. It matters not what manner of communicating the populace bestows on our elected ruling elites, they do not understand. I may have just misspoken because they may not even hear so they cannot understand. More correctly I feel they hear and completely understand, they have simply mastered the art of ignoring. The desires, wishes and demands of the voters is ignored while congress continues to smile, offer lip service, draw their soft paychecks and do nothing.
For two years I have been embarrassed as I listened to the congress lament that the democrats won’t cooperate and they can get nothing done. They have twenty days remaining in which they control the house, senate and white house. Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. In other words get off their asses and fund the building of the wall, investigate the Clintons and get a budget before the president. What an amazing concept, they would have to work for a change but that is what they are paid to do. If nothing is accomplished in these remaining days look for nothing constructive to be accomplished in the next two years. A lame duck can still navigate so get up and get with it.
If congress doesn’t work and fund the wall while working on revising our immigration laws we need to send them a unique Christmas present. Let’s charter as many planes as necessary and send them on a one way trip to a south Pacific island vacation. If they don’t make it, it would be no big loss. We must get rid of every traitor and dead head in congress and replace them with patriotic, caring, working people that will help secure our country and strengthen our economy. We know it won’t happen but something has to change.
This has been a year of embarrassing disappointment mixed with unmatched excitement. Elections have been contested, disrupted and disputed all while elections officials are rewarded with retirement packages equaling six digits and more. What a country we live in, truly a land of opportunity. Our government faces shut down every few weeks and our borders are more porous than fishing nets. Congratulations congress for creating more confusion and chaos than even Hillary or Bernie could have dreamed of.
I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. This may be the last year we can say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays. My Christmas list is short. Congress people, get out of the way or get up and do something, either one would be a surprise. May your stockings be filled with coal, the EPA won’t mind.
I’m tired of being embarrassed by this group of ruling elite, self-absorbed individuals that do nothing constructive for our country. Those of you that call yourselves republican, act like one and support your president. Jeff Flake, have a nice Christmas and enjoy going back home to embarrass yourself if you decide to run for president. Your own people wouldn’t reelect you so how do you think you could win support for that office? You are the epitome of embarrassment.
You may think I’m wrong, but in your heart you know I’m still right.
Old will not be old when I get there…..
Amen again Jack. Unfortunately there are too may holdovers in congress who needed to go. What’s the simple answer to this problem? Firstly, term limits. Yes term limits for ALL elected officials including our local governing officials. Secondly, why is it necessary to pay each such an absorbent amount of retirement income. Ridiculous to say the least. Why is this a factor? Because it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why there are so many do-nothing elected officials who remain in office simply to build a healthy retirement income. One would be alarmed if one knew just how much we are paying out in congressional retirement funds. Wake up Americans and get concerned then do something that can stem the tide. Think before you vote!!
