50 years ago on this date I made a lifetime commitment, and have never regretted it. I know there are many that have been united this long and longer. I congratulate all of you and wish you the best future anyone can ever have. In honor of this day I share the following with all.

TOGETHER

We’ve been married, for so many years
Together we laughed, and shed our tears.
Long ago on a summer’s eve we met
Since that day, there was never regret.

We’ve been together, so many years
Overcoming all of our worldly fears.
We made a union that for years did last
Never looking back, at what was past.

We’ve been as one, for so many years
Our thoughts and acts are always clear
Raising a family, through God and love
Always seeking guidance, from above.

We’ll be together, for many more years
Casting aside our doubts with cheers.
I know together, we were meant to stay
Where I Love you, is all I need to say.

If history someday did repeat
I’d come and say my vows anew,
It hasn’t been a hard fought feat
For one like you, we rarely meet.
