Is there anyone of integrity left in the leadership of our country? Being a resident of the Great State of Alabama, I feel I have great cause to wonder. We had many questions of morals and integrity during the past election for president. Now we find Judge Roy Moore being bombarded with similar questions concerning similar and even more severe charges as our president faced. Are these charges legitimate? No one knows. I do know that at least two of the people making these charges worked as volunteers on the Hillary Clinton campaign. I find that very interesting. I have yet to see anyone corroborate the charges of the fourteen year old. I find the timing questionable.

I find myself coming to the conclusion that we threw morals and integrity out the window, concerning people in the public eye, in the 1950’s. The young, dashing Kennedy brothers could and did many immoral and possibly criminal activities with members of the opposite sex. This pattern has continued since that time. The disgraceful acts performed in the Oval Office by one former president were laughed about and light heartedly dismissed.

Charges such as this are no more that severe negative campaigning. This country allows anyone to say anything about someone, true or false or just rumored, with no consequence. I do not call for censoring the press, however they should be held responsible when putting forth false news and outright lies.

I don’t know if Judge Moore is guilty or innocent but he should be given the right of being innocent until proven guilty. If he is guilty I have nothing good to say about him at all. I find, when looking at this from the outside, these charges do not fit the mold of the man that has been in the public eye for years. I understand women being afraid to make these charges against powerful men. It they are going to make these charges, why wait 35 to 40 years. He has been elected to other important positions and these charges could have been brought to light then. When a quiet, relatively unknown lady from Alabama makes these charges and immediately employs the services of Gloria Allred, it makes me suspicious.

Individuals with integrity appear to be a rarity for individuals in public life. We need to bring integrity back as a normal way of life. We need to demand people seeking office have integrity and morals. In the meantime, mom and dad, let’s start now, at home. It is up to us and it is our responsibility to raise people with integrity. We must be the example. We must be parents and act accordingly. We must start now.

Again, we in Alabama are moving toward an election on December 12 between Judge Moore and Doug Jones. We Alabamians should be able to make our choice and not having media and establishment leftovers interfering. Maybe Russia is feeding the establishment Republicans and Democrats instruction on how to manipulate the election.

We hear Mitch McConnell and others broadcasting that if elected they will immediately expel him. They may do just that but I ask the first vote against him to be from the person that has no dirt from anywhere anytime even forty years ago. With a house full of thieves and bums it would be hard to find a fair jury. These sanctimonious blowhards will do what they want and with no conscience continue to proudly walk the halls of congress patting themselves on the back and doing absolutely nothing for the good of our country.

There is a chance I could be wrong, but I’m still right.
