ENOUGH

We’ve had enough. I use we instead of I because there are many in agreement with me.  I have repeatedly voiced my disdain with congress, yet it continues to grow.  There is not one in all the elected representatives that would be successful in private enterprise operating as they presently run the government.

Republicans lay blame for every stumble at the feet of democrats. They need to look at themselves very closely.  After much showmanship they united and elected “Rino” Paul Ryan as the speaker of the house.  It would be hard to find an individual that could act so easily with such palter.  Mr. Ryan stood in front of microphones the day after the election of Donald trump and proudly boasted “we have no excuse now, we have both houses of congress and the oval office.”  Why then can we not get something done?

Democrats remain solidly united with a campaign to block or stall any initiative put forth by President Trump or Congress. There have never been more perfect examples of continuing codswallop than Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.  Yet these two individuals pursue an unrelenting war for anarchy rather than republican rule.  These leaders would guide us down the path to socialism if allowed.

To survive we need to abandon the old accepted two party system. We need a group to unite and declare themselves constitutionalists.  Thus the constitution party could be born.  I will, with haste join and so all in my power to see this group survive and thrive.

I remember my high school class, listening to Mr. Harrison as he expounded the content and meaning of the constitution and branches of government. There are only eight states that require and administer statewide standardized tests in American Government or Civics.  It would be very interesting to conduct a survey to determine how many of our officials in Washington have actually read and studied the constitution.  Supreme court Judge Gorsuch, recently appointed, has publicly stated he has never read this document in its entirety.  How can someone, having never read the constitution, rule on constitutional issues?

A farce of a budget has just been presented by congress. They busily pat themselves for reaching agreement across party lines for this budget.  What a joke.  Republicans caved to the demands of democrats as if they were being held hostage at gunpoint.  Not one item the American people fought for with the last election were included in this budget.  At this late hour they rush to get it passed and then leave for another vacation, at our expense.  I am contacting the Beltone Corporation to encourage them to open an office near the capitol building.  Maybe hearing aids would enable them to hear the voices and wishes of the people that are supposed to represent.  Let the government shut down.  It has happened before and we endured with no lasting harmful effects.

Mr. Trump, please lead us on a campaign to make America great again and start by enacting a congress that will represent the people.  We need to vote every one of them out, beginning with the leadership of each house.  We won the battle for the oval office but the war for saving America is raging.  We are in great jeopardy of losing our country.

Each and every one of us needs to contact our local representation and ask them constitutional questions. Look at the answers we get and demand each one reads and studies the constitution.  A case in point is healthcare.  Yes, healthcare should be available to all but it is not a right guaranteed by the constitution.  Get rid of Obamacare and develop laws that meet the requirements of the constitution.  Fund the border wall, reform the tax code, defund Planned Parenthood and eliminate the excessive amount of vacations we the taxpayers pay for to pacify out representatives.

Mr. Trump, you have stated that the media is the enemy of the American people. This may be so, but I now wonder if the Congress is not almost as deplorable as fake news and the media.

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley. We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too.  My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all, when presented the opportunity, please vote.

  1. Couldn’t agree more. When Democrats rule, they ram ObamaCare and massive tax increases down our throats. When Republicans rule, they run on keeping their majority and nothing else. It’s funny – because that would make Democrats the only honest politicians out there….the ones who actually do what they say they will if they get elected!
