TRUST

Who or what can we as a people have complete confidence and trust in?  For me the only thing I can easily answer the question with is my Christian Faith.  I do have complete and total confidence and trust in my beliefs.  I also believe we are at the precipice of losing all trust in those we have elected and sent to Washington to represent us and the best interests of our nation and its governance.

I grew up in a different era, a time of innocence.  I was the son of a dry land farmer that was a loyal democrat.  Democrats were known as the party of the common man.  I was taught to have trust in the democratic process, the best person and most capable would end up winning each office.  Party lines were followed and each side of the aisle worked tirelessly to see their programs and their agenda succeed.  After debates, filibusters and congressional votes were finished both sides managed to unite in steering this ship of state in the same direction.

Today we have no unity or overwhelming concern for our country and its endurance.  The only thing we can trust in Washington is that every elected individual will put his party above all else.  Elections mean nothing.  If my choice is not elected it becomes my solemn duty to cry, pout and form protest demonstrations while trying to insure the failure of the elected.  Concern for promoting our country and its security play no part in politics today.

The more entitlement programs that can be advanced, regardless of the cost, create more votes for the group promoting the welfare state.  Never has an organized group done more to destroy the respect and reputation of our country than the Democrat party has done this year.  No matter what the opposition party puts forth, good or bad, they will protest, call names, destroy private property and whine.

Somewhere along the line our education system has failed us completely.  Protesters today do not know why they protest; they just get in step and follow the outside forces that want to see the U.S.A fail.  Major media has its own agenda and we can no longer trust them for the news.  We do not need more commentary, we need news with enough information that we can form our own opinions.

We can no longer rely on federal employees to perform the duties they were hired to perform.  Failure to follow the dictates of leadership would result in immediate termination in private business, but not government employment.  Case in point is our VA.  Employees will not efficiently process the needs of veterans or expedite their medical care.  At the present time these same employees refuse to hang the picture of the president in their facilities.

We can no longer trust that our judicial system is fair and just for all people.  Personal feelings influence the decisions rendered by judges, not the law.  Vows were made sworn on a Bible when inducted into office but these vows mean nothing under the current prevailing atmosphere.

In God We Trust is engraved in or on our currency and trust in God is written in our Preamble to the Constitution as well as the pledge of allegiance.  Forces are working diligently to get these references to God removed and convince others that we, humans, are the supreme, all knowing entity that rules.

Time is of the essence.  We must take control of our country and rid ourselves of all the crying, whining forces that seek to ruin us.  We must get trust back in our elected leaders.

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley.  We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too.  My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all, when presented the opportunity, please vote.

  1. America is a constitutional republic, not a democracy. Our nation is governed by the rule of law, not the demands of the masses. The one who promised us “fundamental change” attacked the rule of law and incited the masses to violence. This is how we got to this point. We need a restoration of the rule of law. We need to impeach and remove judges who will substitute their own whims for the constitution, who allow the ends to justify any means.
