DREAMS

We all have dreams. Dreams can be make believe of travel to faraway places or of intrigue and mystery.  Dreams can be of romance featuring true love or the first love one had.  Dreams can be of peaceful places with family and friends.  Most people have awaked in the middle of the night in a cold sweat fighting demons or horrible situations.  These dreams are called nightmares.

I have had dreams of romance about my wife many times over the forty-eight years we have been married. I have had dreams of my children achieving great success and fame. There is no subject that is immune to dreams.  Close your eyes and think of any subject you want, then start day dreaming.  That’s usually better than struggling at your desk on a boring day.  Day dreams or night dreams, we all have had them.

Today there are candidates running for the office of President of the United States of America. Each one of them has their own dream.  Some of their dreams are of the power the office can bring them, while others dream of the good they can do for our country.  I have awaked more than once this election cycle in the middle of a nightmare.  I rise from my bed and wipe the sweat from my brow trying to erase the nightmare I envision if a Democrat is elected.  I can only dream of the consequences if Hillary R. Clinton was elected because the reality of it would be unimaginable.  Hillary R. Clinton should be in jail rather than seeking the prestigious office of president.

I feel, or at least hope, that Donald Trump is dreaming of a better, stronger America. I believe that he is sincere in what he is dreaming of accomplishing if elected.  I feel most of his dreams are from the heart.  We all need to keep the ability of dreaming alive within ourselves to be able to expand our hopes.  Take our dreams and make things better for others as well as ourselves.

I admit that I have a biased opinion and outlook concerning this election and it’s candidates. With the recent failure of being able to file charges and prosecute the presumed democrat candidate, I have a song that keeps playing in my recurring dreams.  How anyone could vote for a person that has been shown to be so conniving, crooked and scheming, all against the American people, I do not know.  As I dream, here is the song I keep hearing:

Dreaming, I’m always dreaming
Dreaming love will be mine
Searching I’m always searching…..
I’ll keep on dreaming
Keep right on dreaming
Dreaming till my dreaming comes true

Ms. Clinton, wake up from your dreaming, searching and hoping to find the love in the office of president. Face reality and just confess to all the questionable activities you have been a party to.  You can quietly fade away and no one will ever miss you.  I’m sure you are a nice person but down here in Alabama we know what you did in Arkansas and New York, and even more so as Secretary of State.  The United States of America is much larger and more important than  one unscrupulous person.  The American people are more intelligent than you may think.

I hope I didn’t hurt Ms Clinton’s feelings, but that would be better than the embarrassment of her running for president, getting elected, and one morning realizing she ain’t in Arkansas anymore. Vote for reality and success this year.  In my opinion that would be the Republican candidate, whoever it may be.   Unite and vote, please.

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley. We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too.  My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all else please vote.

  1. I don’t believe Mrs. Clinton cares whether she can do the job or not. She simply wants the prestige of being the first woman elected, plus she wants to just show Bill! It’s a vindictive goal for her and she’s power hungry. I’m still hopeful that the people will rise up and vote Trump in but the Bible says that God places kings on thrones and he takes them out. If He lets her win, there must be a divine purpose, but God help us if that’s the case.
