MASTERS

mas·ter1
noun
a skilled practitioner of a particular art or activity.
“I’m a master of disguise”

synonyms: expert, adept, genius, past master, maestro, virtuoso, professional, doyen, authority, champion, record holder;

The above is the definition of “master.” This small word has been used in many ways to define people or the circumstances one finds himself engulfed in.  “Masters of the Universe” was a 1987 movie featuring science fiction super heroes.  “The Masters” is a golf tournament held annually in Augusta, Georgia featuring masters, professional or champion golfers.

Looking at past election contests one can see that the Democrat Party and their representative have been expert, adept, genius or any of the synonyms listed above in their campaigning and talking smack, trash or lies. As this election seasons unfolds it is plain to see some things don’t change.  Mrs. Clinton and her handlers are showing their mastery at ruthlessly destroying opponents.  They have mastered the ability of stating falsehoods in a very eloquent manner and taking out of context statements made by others, all in the act of winning at all costs.

In the past, as these charges were leveled or statements made, Republicans would back up, start stuttering and stammering all while apologizing. They would meekly fold into the fetal position and let innuendos and false charges go unchallenged.  The extremely biased, liberal mass media would do all in their power to help spread this covering of lie infected verbiage.  The more republicans cowered, the more money democrats would spend purchasing print space and air time to strengthen and continue the barrage.

In the year 2016 things changed. Both Democrats and establishment Republicans were caught completely off guard.  As the Democrats continued their norm a new comer came out ready to fight and had the added benefit of free coverage.  Good, bad or indifferent everything Mr. Trump says or does is reported and repeated over and over.  Name recognition is good.  Mr. Trump has mastered the art of returning anything the Democrat party can throw at him, and usually more forcefully.

This election will get nasty and mean. The reason is simple.  Mr. Trump is not a politician but a very successful businessman from New York City.  The way to win in New York has been to give back more than you get.  The fittest will survive.  Say or do what is necessary to win, no one remembers who comes in second.  For the Republican Party to survive, the old establishment must take a seat and learn.  They are being given a lesson on how to win and not back down from any challenger.

Mr. Trump may say or do some things that embarrass you (and me) but it is not in the same class as the embarrassing world tour Mr. Obama made, apologizing to every country he could, for America’s successes. No amount of embarrassment could hurt worse that the actions of Hillary Clinton and her lying about everything from pay for play, security of embassies, and the Clinton Foundation.

Mr. Trump will not lie to the people, he will tell the truth. He may not accomplish everything he has promised, but he will try.  Liberals are fearful of a Trump presidency and show it in the labels they are putting on him: racist, bigot and many others.  These names do not fit.  The old establishment is fearful of a Trump presidency fearing their loss of power and influence.  The media fears a Trump presidency fearing their loss of influence in swaying elections as they have grown accustomed to doing.

Remember all the Republican candidates, except Donald Trump, that took the pledge to support the eventual winner? Where are they, their families and supporters?  Yet, they still call themselves Republicans.  What a lie, I don’t think they really ever were.
