Preamble to the Constitution of the United States
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
This document was accepted and placed into operation in 1789. It has lawfully been modified by 27 amendments since that time. It has withstood many test and served us well over time…
This document created the separate branches of government as well as our judicial system of justice. Never in 226 years of existence has our constitution been attacked, criticized, abused and often ignored as it has in the last eight years. However, flagrant violations of the constitution began as early as 1964 under the direction of Lyndon Baines Johnson during his creation of “the great society.” Since that time violations have become more frequent and more severe. The most recent past eight years has seen the most atrocious abuses ever imagined. Not only has our president exceeded his authority, our legislative branch has sat by, doing nothing, letting him (the president) run wild, all while our supreme court has become compromised and ineffective.
Now is the time for all Americans to unite and retake our government and country from the self-serving beaurocrats Washington D.C. has become infested and over run with. Our fore fathers created and enacted a system of government that never was intended to breed a class of professional politicians
There are two methods to make changes or amendments to our constitution. One is not likely, and that is through legislative action, by the same group of ruling elitists that now occupy the chairs of congress. The other option is for the Governors of the States to call a Constitutional Convention of the states. This choice would be difficult, but good things usually are. Two amendments sorely needed at this time. One would be to set term limits for all elected officials of congress and the appointed justices of the Supreme Court, ending the class of professional politicians that try to control every aspect of our lives The second amendment would demand a balanced budget. We don’t need to be led down the path saying over the next ten years we can save this or that. Make the savings immediate. We do not need to send billions of dollars over seas to support our enemies. Let’s take care of business at home first.
The second amendment to the Constitution of the United States is under fire at this time. Americans have always had the right to bear arms, and will continue to have this right. However, the most powerful weapon and the weapon most feared by politicians, both republican and democrat, is not the gun. It is the most underused and least appreciated, God given right we have. The power of the vote
Each of us owe it to ourselves and our posterity to become educated and educate every citizen of this great country. Then vote, and encourage others to vote. We need capable, honest, patriotic citizens to represent us, with term limits and no outside influences. We can take our country and make it greater than it’s ever been by becoming educated, exercising our rights, and voting.
