MEDIA
Congratulations, the Iowa caucus is over. The media has much to talk about. Oh, to be as wise as all the talking heads. I no longer have to think about the elections, I will be told how I should think and who I should vote for. My goodness, just think what would happen to me if I disagreed with Carl Rove, he is so smart he knows all. Can you not feel pride in our media when they ask such important questions at a debate led by Megan Kelly? Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes are so insulted when their employees are questioned and challenged, because, they know all.
The Constitution guarantees us a free press in this country. I personally cannot think the founding fathers intended for this same free press to control our elections. But they are trying. The media, controlled by big money and extreme liberalism offers free press and air time to candidates of their choice, no matter what their stance or opinion may be. Upon announcing their candidacy they and their families become fair game for any slander and innuendos that can be dredged up. No solid basis or verifiable source need be present. Fair and balanced reporting is a thing of the past.
Media is big money. Advertising fees drive the machine whether it is broadcast or print. The larger the audience, the more money there is to be generated. The only way to increase audience is to be extreme, and the larger audience enhances the pay the attraction earns. Once the taste of big money becomes a factor we want to enlarge the audience more. The only way to continually grow the audience is to enlarge the sphere of your influence, to a more liberal public. No matter how conservative you were, or how fair and balanced you were, this changes.

Merriam‑Webster
Adjective…..
Definition of conservative. 1 a : an adherent or advocate of political conservatism b: capitalized : a member or supporter of a conservative political party. 2 a : one who adheres to traditional methods or views b : a cautious or discreet person
I consider myself a conservative as defined above. I feel I have nowhere to turn to hear like views anymore. Candidates seeking political office that express conservative views are relegated to stories behind avowed socialists or extreme left wing liberals simply because they appeal to a large audience. The younger generations, having not been educated in economics, want everything free. No society can survive by continually taxing earning individuals at higher and higher rates to supplement the desire for freebies. The initiative to earn is killed and the great welfare well runs dry and anarchy prevails.
The time is now. We must have people in position to make hard, unpopular decisions so that our country can survive. Listen to what the candidates are saying. Question the promises they make. There is nothing free, someone has to pay the bill. As for myself, I’m tired of paying the bill because too many are unwilling to provide for themselves. Nothing was given to me for free. Under the present state of affairs, I am angry and I am fed up. I will not idly stand by and let this continue unabated. Join me. Join the fight to elect true conservatives and clean house of the ruling elite that do nothing but make themselves richer, while destroying our country. Too many have died for us to let this continue. Does our history mean nothing?
