EXCERPT FROM BOOK

We had succeeded in this miniature cattle drive. As usual I was two or three paces ahead of the folks who were strolling leisurely along behind the cattle and me.  They were holding hands and talking while taking in the beauty of the spring and their environment.  For some unknown reason just at this time my dad picked up a small mesquite branch.  In the manner one might throw a boomerang he let go the branch and twirling as it went, it hit the back of the outhouse.

Immediately there was screaming as if tortured souls had been awakened………
