The day a lot of us have anticipated has arrived.  The day many have predicted has finally come.  The day some endorsed, campaigned for, dreamed of and wished for, for years is now upon us.  Today we will see how engrained upon us socialism as become.  It is very alarming to see what is happening in New York City and Minneapolis.

I have many friends that have served long and hard for their entire careers as educators.  To them I tip my hat and give them honor.  With the situation in most classrooms, in these turbulent times, it requires much stamina and dedication to remain in the classroom, much less teach in such an environment. The current leadership in teachers unions does nothing to help educators, they simply pave the way to have students learn false history and evidently no grammar skills.  Read a paper a recent college graduate writes and see if there is proper punctuation and decent spelling.  We are teaching our younger people these skills are not necessary, and that computers and AI will fill all their needs.  An uneducated populace will cause the downfall of this once great nation. 

Institutions of higher learning must be revamped and overhauled.  The cost of an education is unreasonable and still increases.  This is caused by the exorbitant salaries paid select staff and the availability of funds, including student loans.  If a person was truly educated they would have a degree in the basic fields such as sciences, math and constitution including the operation of government.  Neither would they exit college with degrees in basket weaving while owing hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans.  Wealthy parents may be able to pay these bills but it turns into a waste of resources.

It is time to lay down the controllers for the x-box and read the news.  Become well versed on current events as well as past history. Socialism has never worked and this will be no exception.  New York City will become a dark abandoned dot on a map, no longer being the vigorous financial center of the world.  This might help with the immigration problem since many are fleeing socialistic countries and do not want to come to another one.

The second important day that has arrived is the day there was a blatant failure of our current government.  The present shut down of all non-essential government services is reckless and unnecessary.  Our Constitution clearly states the avenues our Congress should take to avert such stupid situations.  We need to fund our government, not thirty or forty-five days at a time but annually.  If Congress cannot perform this basic function then they should be the first to forfeit any pay and never receive back pay when the conflict is resolved.  We all live within our means and we should demand our government do the same.  The only time deficit spending should be allowed is in a time of war.  We have a President devoted to world peace so war is not a threat presently.  If Congress cannot work in such a manner they need to be replaced.

If our Supreme Court upholds President Trump’s right to impose tariffs we can go far in resolving the debt issue.  None of this is earth shattering or highly technical, it is simply common sense.  Common sense is in short supply in Washington D.C. because we have not demanded it.  It is the duty of every American to forget political parties and fighting over endowments and bridge building on roads to nowhere and take this country back.  We will not continue to succeed as the model of freedom and justice for the world until we become a country with a government of “We The People, For The People, By The People.”  It is our country and our responsibility to control it.  Congress are hired (by election) to perform our work, in our interest, not theirs.

The only solution is a solid education, becoming informed, and voting.  Demand proof of citizenship to vote in our elections and count the vote quickly.  The longer it takes to count the easier it is to manipulate the totals.  Democrats open your eyes and quit fighting to keep the government shut down over funding medical needs of illegal criminal immigrants.

Idle time can be spent reading, watching newscasts and simply educating ourselves on current events the world over.  There is no reason to remain under informed.  Get smart and get involved and most of all go vote.
