BLACK, WHITE, OR GRAY

In today’s world it seems everyone (almost) wants to look for the gray area in any issue.  However if we take a longer look and think about the issues most of us determine that it is black or white, there is very little middle ground.  First off, so many people will loudly state they hate Trump.  When pressed as to why they feel this way they can’t, or won’t give a reasonable answer.  There is a world of black and white, you either love him or hate him, and there is no gray area or middle of the road.  Just an example.

The following are more examples of black and white.  In fact it is so much so it came from two grouchy older men, one black and one white exchanging ideas.  Winter is the season to rest and spring is the time to restore so let’s start restoring.  We enjoy shelter, food, clothes, relative health and a little money in the bank.  Looking at that we have no reason to be negative so if this comes across as negative it just must be me.  That’s the way I am (we are).

The election is over, a new administration has been installed and America is on the road back.  It is black and white, there is no gray area about it.  If you can’t accept the facts and truths I have pity for you.  Until the Democrats realize there is voting populace that they need to represent, they will not win again.  I don’t understand why so many liberals are upset and protesting.  This administration is diligently working to save our nation and our money.  They are sacrificing comfortable lives in their endeavors on our behalf.

American currency has been growing weaker and weaker for decades.  Just to roil the waters and keep his face in the front of our media, President Trump talks wildly about making Canada, or at least part of it, our 51st state.  I violently object this idea.  I just returned from the grocery store where I purchased groceries and paid with cash.  I was due change, and the innocent little cashier with aid of her cash register determined how much I was due, she inadvertently handed me two Canadian coins.  If our currency system is so hard to navigate, just imagine if we have to integrate Canadian money into U.S. money while bringing the French speaking Canadians into our society.  Lord help us.  Lay Canadian coins next to U.S. coins and you will see, it’s black and white which is which, no gray area confusing it.

Our borders have expanded ever since the early settlers traveled to this big beautiful country across stormy seas from whence they came.  We now go from sea to sea and north border to south border with a couple of chunks of land elsewhere thrown in (Alaska and Hawaii).  We cannot remain a sovereign nation without secure borders and systems in place to keep them secure.  It seems strange to me that a few Democrat appointed judges can impose restrictions on our governing bodies and fight to keep killer, rapists, thieves, and thugs in our neighborhoods.  Frankly I think these poor misguided judicial officials should be sent across the border with the undesirables.  Go south and have a good life.

Yesterday morning I was leaving my house early, going to school time, and I witnessed another phenomenon that is ruining our young people.  As I day dream, I remember being outside playing, fighting getting exercise in the fresh air and sunshine.  As the day drew to a close I went inside and attempted to do an hours’ worth of homework, in the next ten minutes.  I was not distracted by cell phones or computer games.  My phone was connected to the wall and I could walk or hide anywhere the four foot cord would let me roam.  Oh yeah, what was a computer?  Our kids get no exercise.  A young man flew past me on his electric bicycle going to school, with books strapped to his back.   Have we become so lazy we can no longer pedal a bike to school?  What happened to doing something physical?

In my day, when in school we had sports teams, and everybody was encouraged to participate.  Not everyone did, but we had school loyalty and supported all the teams.  Now that sixty plus years have passed and we have become more educated and enjoy the advances of science we have new challenges.  We had both boys and girls teams, that didn’t compete with other but with other schools.  We had at least two bathrooms in each hall. One for girls and one for boys, they both smelled completely different.  Now you must have three, one for those that don’t know what gender or sex they are.  It’s black and white, you are either a boy or girl and there are definite differences.

Well, that’s enough ranting and complaining.  When my black friend and this grumpy old white man get together we both celebrate our black or white privilege.  I guess you might say we may cover some gray area.
