O Lord, thankful shall your people be
For all our blessings come from thee
Provided by God, just for you and me.
A symbol of his love ever will be.

May I remember his rod and his staff
And how they ever, will comfort me.
My love for you cannot be just half
For thankfully I, shall abide with thee.

For friends and family, and all that I see,
I give thanks to you, on Thanksgiving Day.
My soul is wide open that on every day
My thanks to you, I will always pray.

He created the universe for me to enjoy,
The stars, the moons, the sky so blue,
Cool waters to sate my dry, cracked lips
Are forever miracles you daily will do.

The days, the weeks, the years go by
And we take for granted all we see.
As we hurry through our simple lives
May every day, a Thanksgiving be.

The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want,
My needs are met, and many pleasures too,
By a living God that asks naught in return
My Thanksgiving prayer is of thanks to thee.
