RIGHT AND WRONG

The thoughts and ideas expressed below are exclusively those of Jack Straley and www.justplaintalkwithjack.com  We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too.  My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all, when presented the opportunity, please vote.

Paul, in his writings to the Romans, Chapter 2, states that all people were born with an inherent knowledge of right and wrong.  This knowledge was bestowed on us by the grace of God while giving us the ability to make decisions on how we would act.  Man, since this time has often made the wrong choices and has suffered at the hands of God because of so doing.

I believe that our forefathers were men of wisdom and faith.  They, therefore, established our nation on a foundation of right and wrong with a vision of what could lay in waiting in the future if we stopped following the teachings of Christ and the lessons taught in olden times.  Every decision we and our leaders make, should have differing opinions included in the discussions, yet final determinations should be based on right and wrong.

Differing opinions are offered up through the separate political parties and all too often party loyalty turns a blind eye toward right and wrong.  Right and wrong can be synonymous with good and bad.  Party loyalty can dispense actions that are bad for our country and we the people.  If we seek the aid of God in our decision making, we should have good things happening for our nation.

The ancient Israelites experienced the hard times God bestowed on them when they strayed from the mandates of following his commands.  As the Jewish people are God’s chosen people I believe the people of the United States are also.  As such we are subject to the same trial and tribulations the ancients experienced.

I believe The United States of America was established as a Christian nation, but we are straying farther and farther from these beliefs daily.  It is time to rid our nation of leaders that continually make bad or wrong decisions for our future.  Political Party means nothing, good and righteous people do.  We should never allow ourselves to be guided by the wishes and positions of the various political parties.

John Wayne stated: “Life is tough, but it’s tougher when you’re stupid”. Become smarter and make life easier. The choice is ours to make. We are out of time. The 2024 election is the most critical election we will face in our lifetimes. A Bible verse from the Old Testament, attributed to God is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14. It states, “if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves, seek My face and pray and turn back to Me, then I will hear their prayer and will save their country”.

Be smart, be faithful and vote. Voting is the one freedom we still have to make our voices heard and in the end, God will know the outcome and save us from ourselves.

Help spread the message. Anyone that reads this and agrees, please share with others so we may grow the awareness of the situation we are facing as a nation.
