Patience grasshopper, it is not yet time to panic.  Listen closely my friends and I will tell you a story.  We will not default on the national debt.  Until we get smarter and send mature grown-ups to Washington, there will be no action for debt reduction, but we will not default.

I have previously suggested that it become a requirement that all elected congress people mustread, study, and learn the constitution, then take an exam on the same before they can actually run for office.  I continually hear illiterate Democrats yelling that Biden should invoke the 14^th Amendment to avert a default crisis.  This amendment does not give Biden, or any President, the authority to enact any emergency action.  This amendment simply states that we must pay our debts.  Coming due is an interest payment on our national debt, no principal is due at this time.

Our treasury has money on hand.  It has reserves for approved projects that were never started, or completed.   Much money designated for Covid related issues has not been spent and can easily be directed to the immediate needs.  Everyday more revenue finds its way into the coffers of our treasury because most of us continue to pay our taxes.  Import duties are collected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our obligations can be met without raising the debt limit.

There has to be a day of reckoning, and we are there.  The Republicans need to stay united and not raise the limit. We need to work to reduce the cost of government, not increase the debt, and begin the tedious process of paying down the debt these people have created.

Everyone drawing social security, at least in theory, paid into it and are being paid back through this savings and interest bearing account.  When created there was a Social Security Trust that managed the contributions, but no more.  Years ago a great, immortal Texas Democrat, Lyndon Banes Johnson took it upon himself to kill this account and transfer the funds to the general accounts with no provision to ever refinance the Trust.  This action of robbing the working people was done to prohibit increasing the National Debt.  It is time the Democrats, or the minority party at the time, stop threatening these same hard working patriots.

Mr. Biden, it is time for you to shut up and start following the dictates of the oath you took when assuming your present office.  Congress, you also swore to protect our nation from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.  Unfortunately many of you are becoming these domestic enemies of which we have been warned.

Let’s return to the subject of education.  Our Department of Education has done more harm than any good it can ever accomplish.  Control of our schools needs to be done at the local level by concerned parents, not domestic terrorists.  We do not teach Civics, Government or History anymore.  We must return to the basics and truth.  When having discussions with people I may not agree with, I often refer to the pocket copy of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution I carry with me.  Still, uninformed individuals, argue that the Constitution does address these situations.  I offer to give these people copies of this booklet knowing they will never read it, their minds are closed to learning new facts.

Our founding fathers gave us an instrument, that when adhered to, will give us direction on how to operate our government and survive the many trials we face.  If only we could be as wise, committed, and dedicated to our cause as they were, how much stronger we would be.
