SIX PACK
Normally I’m excited to have a six pack of Beer. Most beer is good on a 90 degree day after mowing the lawn or just relaxing inside. The recent headlines about Budweiser Light started me thinking about the six items that I have grown to Hate, that are currently in the news.
#1 Transgender
I’m sick of hearing about Dylan Mulvaney. He can be whatever he wants to be and it doesn’t bother me at all. I think it was a bad marketing plan by Budweiser to advertise to a very small number of people. It’s their money, so it’s up to them. The LGBTQ+++ community is estimated to be about 10% of the population, or less. The cost vs benefit analysis may have been attractive for them to give it a try. As it turned out, their ads insulted the majority of their beer drinkers, who are active men. Nike is stupid to use Dylan to sell their line of sportswear including bras to women. Same with Tampons. I really don’t care that Jack Daniels supported or sponsored a drag show or event. In the long run the free market works. Transgenderism should never be marketed or presented to anyone under 18 years of age. You have to be 18 to vote and buy cigarettes in most states.
#2 Gun Control
I’m sick of hearing about gun control every time there’s a shooting that fits a narrow ideology. There are 7-12 gun deaths in Chicago every week. Nothing is said! If you have a problem with guns, then there’s 2 things you can do. First of all is lock up the criminals that use guns while committing crimes. The other procedure is described in the Constitution, to repeal The 2nd Amendment. We can’t pick and choose how law abiding citizens should be allowed to have guns.
#3 Reparations
I’m sick of hearing how cities and states are voting to give money away. Money they don’t have. That’s what the Congress does in Washington DC. There were very few slaves in the Northern states. It’s so easy to say ‘Blacks Built This Country’ but is that true, since most slaves worked in the fields in the south. However, they did have some free Blacks in those states. So it’s fair to say they didn’t build the Northern states. There were also, some Blacks that owned slaves. Do we want to give them Reparations too? Maybe, because some were former slaves themselves. What about the Native Americans (Indians)? What about the Japanese Americans during World War Two? Should Texas and New Mexico be given back to Mexico? Should the Louisiana Purchase be returned? Should Alaska be given back to Russia? Please, Please will someone take California off our hands? Why can’t we just start from here and go forward?????
#4 EV’s
They’re the rave of the modern world. I’m about to throw up!!! They are 7% of the vehicles being sold today in America! The only reason that number is so high is the government has been giving rebates and building charging stations. Let the free market work! Most people won’t buy one, based on a recent study, like 80%! Currently America has the largest oil and natural gas reserves in the world. Do you think it’s a good idea to be dependent on China to keep our economy running? Americans love the personal mobility freedoms that gas powered cars have. Very few of us want to wait 2 hours to charge our cars during a trip over 5 hours away.
#5 Racism
One definition is ‘Unfair treatment of people who belong to a different race’. None of the definitions I saw mentioned Blacks, Mexicans or non whites. Math is racist, the highway system is racist, and all white people are racist. Are the whites from the North that fought to free the slaves, are they racist too? Capitalism is racist. Please pass me a barf bag. Why is it that if whites say the same thing as blacks, they’re considered to be racist and the blacks are considered to be liberal/progressive???? I hear a lot more Black speak that should be considered racist but it’s not!?!?!?
#6 Student Loan Forgiveness
No more talk of the poor young people that can’t buy a house or start a family because of their student loans. How about personal responsibility? How about the high cost of a college degree? College costs have risen a lot faster than inflation? How about worthless degrees? How about the mass sums of money these colleges have tucked away while still charging, mostly the government, thru far too easy to acquire student loans. We don’t need to feed this system more money, we need to let it go bankrupt!
I need some aspirin! I have a headache! Maybe a cold six pack would help.
