Recent conversations have led me to recall a book I read while in high school in 1962.  The book is “The Naked Communist” written in 1958 by Cleon Skousen.  Mr Skousen was a former FBI agent and researcher.  The book undresses the communist theory, plans and efforts for world domination.  On January 10, 1963 Rep. A.S. Herlong (D) of Florida brought the 45 communist goals detailed in the book to congress.  His presentation was archived in the library of congress.  This became known as the 1963 Communist Goals. 

I will share 13 of the goals with you and over the coming days I will print the remainder.  As you read this think about it and consider how much has been accomplished today and where we stand in the scheme of things to come.  I continually talk of education and the minds of younger generations, this will reinforce that need and we must know what our schools are teaching.

Goal # 17.  Get control of the schools.  Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda.  Soften the curriculum.  Get control of teachers’ associations.  Put the party line in textbooks.

Goal # 18.  Gain control of all student newspapers.

Goal # 19.  Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

Goal # 25.  Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

Goal # 26.  Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

Goal # 27.  Infiltrate the churched and replace revealed religion with “social” religion.  Discredit the bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

Goal # 28.  Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

Goal # 31.  Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor [art of the “big picture.”  Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

Goal # 40.  Discredit the family as an institution.  Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

Goal # 41.  Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents.  Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

 Goal # 42.  Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use united force to solve economic, political or social problems.

Remember the above was written in 1958 and presented to Congress in 1963.  I will not add my thoughts, impressions or comments to these goals.  I ask you to read them then think about them.  The only way to get our country back is through education and involvement.

I echo my earlier writings.  We must get involved at the lowest but most important rung of the political ladder which is the local school boards.  We must monitor the teachings these board members approve.  Please read and share this post with any and all you possibly can.  This is a must read for all concerned Americans.

The 60’s were a time filled with fear of communist takeover, nuclear war and even death.  The above shows how our enemies, both foreign and domestic, can achieve their end without war but take us from within.  Complacency and inaction are to be feared more more than most threats.
