I want to wish all those I know and even those I don’t a Very Merry Christmas. May you find and experience all the joy, peace and happiness you can handle.
MEANING OF CHRISTMAS
I sink down in my chair this night,
By the fire, the sparkling lights I see.
i gaze at the glistening, shining sight
And smell the lovely Christmas Tree.
I feel that something is awry
As an uneasy feeling covers me.
It feels not right, and I wonder why
This Christmas seems so blue, to me.
My eyes now close extremely slow
My head nods down, and I’m a sleep.
Then angels start an all out show
Of what is real, and mine to keep.
There is so much for us to see
That could never meet the eye.
The green tree stands unchanging
And this is what it means to me.
The color of the tree stays green
Just like the life Christ gave to me.
The needles of the tree point upward
Reminding us, where heaven will be.
The star on top is shining bright
Telling of a savior there is to be.
A guiding light across a desert night,
That wise men yet follow seeking thee.
Red is the brightest color on the tree,
Reminding us, of the blood he shed.
As blood flows through you and me,
Remember all that Jesus bled.
I hear a bell that’s gently ringing
As if guiding lost, lonely sheep.
Through storm, or weather fair,
His peace is there for us to keep.
The tiny lights that now do twinkle
Like all the stars up in the sky,
Show us that each and every one
Should be a light for all to see.
The bows that tie the packages,
No end or start you’ll ever see.
As God’s love around us wraps
For now, and evermore will be.
All the colors now combined,
Show the joy we have to share.
When we pass around the love
We know at last of Jesus care.
These are the things of Christmas
When I was young were taught to me.
The greatest gift that ever I can give,
Is show my children, what now, I see.
