We have been a fortunate group of people. We have enjoyed freedoms and liberties that no other people on this planet have experienced. The current political atmosphere is threatening the elimination of our basic rights and unfortunately we, for the most part, are sitting around letting this happen.
Part of what made us this fortunate occurred almost 250 years ago. In 1776 we had a generation of leaders that put it all on the line. In assembly these men agreed that death was preferable to living without certain freedoms and rights. Risking everything, including their lives they acted with a Declaration of Independence from a monarchy and proceeded to create and write a Constitution for the new free nation. After the completion of the Constitution they advanced their agenda by incorporating our Bill of Rights via the first ten amendments to this new Constitution.
Taking these rights for granted we lived a life that became the envy of every other country on this planet. We have earned the respect of every other nation and we have defended the rights of other people in many foreign lands around the world. We have accepted others that were less fortunate than we have been and been a refuge for the masses. In times of national emergencies in faraway lands, we responded. We have fought world wars and insured the safety of millions. After wars and disasters we have helped rebuild the world. In the last 10 months this has changed.
In November 2020 our circumstances changed. Millions of uneducated and uninformed voters helped elect a force bent on destroying America. There was so much hate for one individual, which far outweighed the love of this nation, many sought alliances with the forces trying to destroy us.
Through our continued complacency and inactivity we have reached the edge of destruction. Of the 10 original amendments, our Bill Of Rights, we have been stripped or ceded all but one of the basic rights our country was built on. Good men have fought and died to insure these freedoms, let it not be they died in vain. The only right remaining is our second amendment or the right to have and bear arms.
Our right to free speech has been curtailed through censorship of public media sources. Our right to assemble for religious purposes has been curtailed and the blame shoved on Covid-19. Amendment number 4 has been erased by the illegal entry into homes of innocent people and personal property taken and destroyed. We have citizens being arrested and held for indefinite lengths of time without being charged with a crime in violation of Amendment number 5. Speedy trials have been denied through political means to deserving citizens in violation of amendment 6 and 7.
Amendment 8 is violated daily through excessive bails or no bails demanded at all. Bonds and fines are designed to be punishment not a license for politics to ruin people, business or communities.
Most importantly amendment 10 specifically gives the right to self-govern on most issues. Abortion laws, school rules and other specifics are daily grabbed by the federal government and the wishes of the local people are denied.
We need to remind every Senator and Representative in Washington D.C. that they are there because we hired them to represent us. They do not have the right to ignore the wishes and desires of the people that elected them. Their vote should represent the will of the people back home. We can and should fire each one that acts in an irresponsible manner. Stop the deficit spending, restore our rights and Make America Great Again.
I have not met a Biden voter that is satisfied with the result of his or her vote today. If you are happy with what you have done, you live in a different world than I. As the approval rating for Biden drops, so does our esteem throughout the world.
The answer: Educate yourself with truth, not CRT. Educate others with the truth. Become active in your community. Write and correspond with your congress people. Volunteer to serve in and on committees that promote America and her ideals. Most important of all, VOTE.
