Our country seems to be losing its soul. Our populace appears to be losing its will to fight. We are definitely being threatened with the loss of our freedoms by the current inept leadership in our nation’s capital. Have we already lost or is the cause of liberty, freedom and justice worth fighting for?
No nation or organization can survive without a sound economic foundation. Our leadership has thrown sound reasoning out the window. The only way they know to operate is to continue spending, without money to pay the bills. The only way to have the means to spend money is to earn more money. We have lost the pride factor of self-sufficiency and are happy to become wards of the state.
Our published national debt is approximately $28,550,000,000,000 and our total debt including unpublished and unfunded future obligations is approximately $147,000,000,000,000. Both those numbers are trillions with a giant T. We can never resolve this obligation by taxing corporations or the top 1% or 2% of wage earners. Corporations will pass the exorbitant taxes on to the consumers in higher prices, they will not and cannot just accept them.
Our national debt is not a new problem but it is not all that old either. In 1964 our debt was a mere $312,000,000,000 (Billion). At that time LBJ was increasing our presence and commitment in Viet Nam while waging his War on Poverty. To accomplish his goals one of the first things he did was transfer all Social Security Trust Funds to the General Fund. He did this to stay within the mandated confines of the debt limit approved by Congress. This war did nothing but slow the will to work for a living and depend more on Uncle Sam and welfare, by any name you want to call it.
Once Congress discovered how easily they could vote up more money, the more they did just that. Entitlements, as politicians like to call them are an imaginary thing. No one is entitled to a thing except the opportunity to earn a living and live in a free society. In today’s world it is considered an accomplishment to be able to stay home and earn more than going to work every day.
We now go so far as to feel we are entitled to free education at all levels. at the expense of Uncle Sam. Not so. The more the left pushes free education, the more these institutions of higher learning become indoctrination centers. Our young people are instructed in the virtues of Socialism and Marxism while being taught the evils of Capitalism and self-reliance.
We have lost the status of being energy independent while aiding our enemies in the development of energy. Worldwide we have lost the prestige of being the strongest country and gifted billions of dollars of material to our enemies.
Greatest of all we have lost the ability to function as One Nation, Under God. We are operating as many different and separate entities with no regard for the overall Union of the fifty states. We have become divided and continually ask the question Who needs God or What is God. We must unite and find the God of the past if we are to have a future. We have lost the capability of having trust and belief in our elections, and our country will continue to weaken until we overcome this situation.
Thirteen months from now we have hard decisions to make and complex questions to answer. We have the opportunity to strengthen our Republic or to throw it out and enter the downward swirl of self-destruction in Socialism. We can elect patriotic conservative leaders or we can elect those that say they can give us everything for free. Some of you voted for the latter choice in 2020. Now I ask how is that working out for you? Are you happy with your vote, are you proud of your vote? If you answered yes to the above, God Bless You.
Instead of being lost let’s vote to be found and be proud to be Americans again.
