The time has arrived, the time for action, if we are to save our republic. We have just witnessed a failed recall election in California where Marxists, Socialists and Liberal ideals prevailed over common sense. This special election may be a glimpse of the future elections in our once free, proud and strong nation. On September 17, 1787 Benjamin Franklin when asked what kind of government do we have replied, “We have given you a republic, if you can keep it.” Now is the time we determine if we can keep it.
On the streets and in discussions with other people I am seeing and feeling a sense of uncertainty, frustration and desperation. The will to be involved and fight the fight is waning. Complacency is the biggest foe we have along with the masses being uninformed. The second enemy is the condition that the masses are dependent on the government handouts and their comfort in being in that state. As long as big government supports the idle hordes there will be no desire to change.
The time for a loud call for all conservatives and patriots to unite and take action is now. This nation has faced challenging times before and was strong enough to survive. In late 1776 the nation was fighting a war against tyrannical rule, and the cause seemed almost lost. Despair, frustration and a sense of defeat was overwhelming. It was then a call to reenergize was heard. Mr. Thomas Paine, a relocated Englishman in one of his rare occasions of sobriety wrote in The American Crisis, and George Washington read to his troops: “These are the times that try men’s souls.” It went on to say, “What we obtain too cheap, we esteem to lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value.” Speaking of keeping our freedom he continued: “I call not upon a few, but all: not on this state or that state, but on every state: up and help us; lay your shoulders to the wheel; better have too much force than too little, when so great an object is at stake.” The object is our freedom.
Those that disagree with me on most policies and philosophies must heed the above statements. Unite with me, become involved and fight with all the resolve you have. Communicate with your elected representation, write letters to your newspapers and talk freely and loudly with all that will lend you an ear. Failure to join the battle and overthrow the current rule by the extreme left and the Democrat Socialists will cost both of us. Your right to disagree with me will be extinguished and my ability to spread thoughts and feelings I promote will become illegal. Neither of us want that.
People that agree with me did not vote for the present administration while those that disagree did. I know my feelings of what is happening and wonder how proud you are of your election success. If you are unhappy with what your choices for governing are doing you must act now. Your right to disagree with me is just as fragile as is my freedom to push for change.
Violence and armed rebellion, while not encouraged or endorsed, may come to our streets and meeting places. The most effective weapons available to fight this war are pens and words. Be prepared for friends to turn on you and challenge you but fight for all you hold dear. Do not become one of the many that wrap themselves in complacency and ignore the fact that Rome once burned. Our country is smoldering now, on the brink of erupting in flames of destruction and will soon be only a notice in history books.
Let’s disagree while at the same time unite to save our nation. The powerful elite have become so filled with hate for one man they are willing, and actively trying, to kill our nation to retaliate for the good that has been done. The cause is much larger than you or me. We will be forgotten but the action we take today will affect our future forever. May we be strong enough and smart enough to save our republic as Ben Franklin challenged us.
United and together we can save our country, but remaining divided and filled with hate our country will surely perish.
The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley and www.justplaintalkwithjack.com We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too. My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all, when presented the opportunity, please vote.
