Today there is enough shame and disgrace to go around.  I am not a supporter of Joe Biden, never have been, never will be.  However today he needs not be the only person holding blame for the chaos in Afghanistan.  There is plenty to be ashamed of plenty of blame to share.

The American people, as a collective, need to suck it up and take their shares of the blame.  We have mostly sat around as a group of pacifists letting others doing the fighting for us.  We have thousands that have given their lives and thousands more that have been maimed while we continue our social gatherings and others riot in the streets and protest.

We have days set aside to honor our fallen and wounded veterans from WW I and from WW II.  We won these wars as a total American effort.  Each individual did their share to win.  We still see movies and read books with the topic of American commitment and bravery being the theme.  These heroes are aging and not many remain to receive our accolades.  They did their part for freedom around the world.

We have veterans from the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam action living on the streets, still suffering, being abused and ignored by the governmental agency designed to care for them, our Veterans Administration.  The needs of these people are on the front burner of any cause.  Most are forgotten or pushed aside.  This is not what America was built on or stood for.  Afghanistan may be America’s longest war but Korea remains America’s longest police action.

Today we see the biggest embarrassment to be bestowed on this country in years.  We have abandoned our allies in Afghanistan and our President sits hiding, refusing to admit his administration has completely screwed up.  Our country has a class of Generals so obsessed with being Woke and teaching CRT to the troops they can no longer serve as a fighting force to protect our country or its allies.  Our military is on the verge of becoming a huge feel good social union.  Our military should not be leaving material and equipment for the enemy to use in building their strength.  We are leaving behind enough equipment to make the Taliban the fourth largest air force in the world.

Withdrawal from the area is long overdue, however, with adequate, sensible and informed planning the fiasco we are watching could have been avoided.  Our former president had agreements and plans in motion to withdraw without all this confusion.  All the current administration needed to do was pick up the slack and keep the agreements in force and be prepared to enforce an orderly withdrawal.  They had not the intelligence to realize that.  This administration has failed every American and especially every veteran.  They should be ashamed and embarrassed beyond comprehension.

This administration has proven again that it is incompetent to lead our nation.  Just like Karl Marx before him Joe Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy decision he has made.  We need to remove Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi as a group.  There must be qualified Democrats that can replace them and turn our country around, if not there are surely Republicans waiting and ready.

It is heartbreaking to watch Saigon II.  Surely the military leaders and this administration knew this would happen.  If we didn’t have CIA intelligence supporting this result why couldn’t educated men foresee it with just common sense?  This was avoidable.  I must apologize, there is no common sense in Washington D.C…  Common sense be damned, survival and power grabbing are all that matters.

As P.T. Barnum said, “there is one born every minute,” surely he was speaking of fools, and we have proved him right.
