CONVENTION

It is the eve of the accepted date for the convening of the Electoral College and the subsequent casting of ballots by the chosen electors for President and Vice-President of the United States of America.  With mere hours remaining before the vote, no one knows what the outcome will be or if it will withstand the trials it will face.

The Constitution of the United States of America is the foundation that our government is ruled by.  It is our rulebook, game plan or guideline on which all legislation and order are based and it used in its entirety, not piecemeal as some would like.  The different articles and sections address differing situations that may arise and the peaceful resolution for the differences.

The manner for choosing the electors that participate in the Electoral College process are outlined in detail in Article II, Section I.  The process for electing the Commander in Chief and his running mate are very specific and have not changed since first written at the birth of this nation.  If enough people want changes to this process they can propose their changes and attempt to get the changes made through an amendment to the Constitution.

There is another way changes can be made to our Constitution.  It is known as an Article V convention or a Convention of States.  When Congress rejects or ignores the will of the people they serve a Convention of States can be called.  In this divided nation where we live we need two-thirds of the state’s legislatures (34) to agree and call for the Convention.  At that time the do nothing Congress can be overruled and amendments can be written and presented to the populace to vote on.  Just like when Congress proposes an amendment it would have to be approved by a general vote of three-fourths of the states to become law.

The political state we now have in our country is indeed a fight for the future of our nation.  Our Supreme Court has refused to enter into the fray and render decisions as to how best to settle our differences, we are running out of peaceful solutions.  Lately some have argued for secession as a constitutional right and others as from a natural right of revolution. In Texas v. White in 1869 the Supreme Court ruled unilateral secession unconstitutional, while commenting that revolution or consent of the states could lead to a successful secession.  Confusing as this might be, it is food for thought.

Approximately eighteen other states have joined the State of Texas in its lawsuit against four states that were rife with fraud and cheating in the past presidential election.  If these same states would stand with Texas and petition for secession from the United States of America we might at last began to see that justice could be attained.  The new founded “Liberty States of America” could stop the sloppy, hap hazard way democrats want elections handled and the voice of the people could again ring loud.  Our states have the strongest economy of the fifty states now comprising the United States of America and by keeping our exorbitant, unlawful taxes for local use, could maintain their independence.  Once all the states realize and accept the fact that we are serious about the secession process, they might come to their senses.

Yes, the Constitution is the single most important document ever written, along with the Declaration of Independence.  The Constitution has rules that would prevent the chaos we now have with this vote.  The Supreme Court has signed its own death warrant by refusing to hear the cases being presented.  As it now stands, the Senate will be Democrat controlled because the Supreme Court is completely ineffective as a body of justice.

There will be turmoil for the next four years regardless of what the outcome ends up being.  We need to work the chaos in our favor, take control of what we love, and secede from the Corrupt States of America and form the Liberty States of America.  The south will rise again, only this time it will stay a free and liberty loving assemblage.

So mote it be.  May we ever patriots be, to the grave if necessary?
