PARTIES

There are two distinct political parties in the United States today.  They are the Republican Party and the Democrat Party.  What each party stands for and works for becomes very fuzzy and hard to distinguish at times.  There was a time in the not too distant past when the differences were very evident and a time when the roles of the two parties were very different than they are today.

Growing up in the fifties I was the son of diehard Democrats.  I was always told they (democrats) were the party of the working man and the farmer.  This was the same time The Grange was an active organization for farmers and ranchers as well.  As we knew them at that time they both have become extinct.  In our house it was almost profanity to speak of Republicans in any civil or polite manner.  I wonder what my parents would think of the parties today and how it seems their roles have reversed.

The reversal of the roles the two parties play is not the correct way of describing it.  Yes, the Republican Party has, it seems, become the role of the working class while the Democrat Party is drastically switching to the Communist or Socialist party.  The Democrat Party is pulling out all stops to make the populace dependent on the state and create a complete welfare state.  Unfortunately some of our so called educated leaders missed the lessons on how well this system has succeeded in other countries.

One problem the electorate has is the high tech salesmanship and glamor in which these views are presented.  Since truth has no place in Democrat Liberal campaigning the pitch can be made to appear very attractive, everything is free.  Nothing in life is truly free.  If your local grocer had everything in the store for free, what would you place in your shopping cart?  Since that does not happen and the products are not free you select the necessities and pay for them with the rewards of your hard work.  If it were free no one would work and the shelves would resemble a pandemic, they would be empty, and no one would be able to replenish them.

The two political parties should more appropriately be named The Conservative and The Liberal parties.  Not all Democrats are liberals, but all liberals are Democrats and likewise all Republicans are not conservatives but all conservatives are Republican   Conservatives for the most part try to operate the country for the betterment of all people and theoretically use fiscal sound judgement.  Democrats try to manipulate the populace to strengthen their own power hold regardless of the effect it has on the economy or wellbeing of the masses.  The fiscal practices exhibited by democrats usually includes the printing of money as spending dictates with no sound backing to support the frivolous spending.

I care not what political party you align yourself with but please educate yourself and know what your party stands for and what it’s effect on you will be.  The United States of America cannot survive in its present state with leadership that has been exhibited so far by Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden.  Joe Biden is probably a good man for a politician but if elected he will be in his eighties.  His age is affecting his behavior now as he campaigns through memory losses and misstatements.  His condition of health is questionable.  Depending on who might be his running mate we could end up with someone as incompetent and unqualified as Stacey Abrams or Kamala Harris?  That would be instant devastation.

There is great probability China would have an immediate avenue to exert more influence over the world by manipulating our government and its weak leaders.  Political and business ties to China remain unanswered questions with the Biden family and cause distrust and show weakness to gain power and wealth.  Congress lets manufacturing and financial centers to relocate to China making us more susceptible to the whims and wishes of a communist power.  This transfer of world respect, from the USA to China, cannot be allowed to continue.

I sing my eternal song.  Read and study the Constitution becoming familiar with your freedom, your rights and your duties.  We can only survive a proud nation if we know and understand the law of our land.  Know your candidates for office, both local, state and federal and what they stand for, then vote.  We are fortunate we had enough people to vote for Donald Trump in 2016 and he is leading us through Covid-19.  If the liberal left can persuade enough voters that President Trump caused or was inept in managing the epidemic he will not win reelection.  We need Donald J. Trump in office for another four years and with God’s help we will survive.

I don’t mind getting older, I just wish the rest of my body would feel the same way.

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley and www.justplaintalkwithjack.com  We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too.  My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all, when presented the opportunity, please vote.
