I often find myself questioning just who is running our country and where do the thoughts behind the actions being taken come from. I understand we have an election process in which we all participate but I keep questioning where the rising stars that we vote for or against come from. I have heard more than once the old adage “he made a deal with the devil” regarding one and their miraculous rise to fame and electability.
I get confused trying to find reason when thinking of the actions our politicians take. This entire impeachment façade leaves me bewildered and confused. I try to avoid it yet I come to same question: Are Reps. Pelosi, Nadler and Schiff along with Sen. Schumer possessed with a reprobate mind?
To arrive at a reasonable answer we have to know what a reprobate is. A reprobate is an unprincipled person or a sinner who is predetermined to damnation according to my reference material. So what is it to have a reprobate mind and do these leaders have such. We have called our nation one under God since first conceived and are considered a Christian nation. The acts performed in public of recent lead me to Romans 1:28 which states “Because those people refuse to keep in mind the true knowledge about God, he has given them over to corrupted minds, so that they do the things they should not do.” (Good News Bible) Is this why they do what they do and call it as they want?
The existence of a reprobate or corrupted mind goes back to the time of Moses as shown in 2 Timothy 3:8. The resistance to good people and denial of faith is not a new phenomenon. Now as in previous times, reprobate minds follow the lead and trails of evil and do no good. They are reprobate to all good works.
The King James Version of the Bible in 2 Corinthians 5:17 makes it clear a Christian cannot have a reprobate mind because they have been reborn and are new. Nancy Pelosi stands in front of the masses and professes her faith, Christianity and adherence to her Catholic beliefs yet stands at the same podium and acts against all that is good with no emotion or sign of conscience being revealed.
As with all I write, it is my opinion. I’m sure theological scholars will dispute and disagree with me, which is their right. I write as I do out of fear and concern. Fear and concern that these individuals have sold their souls and us down the drain to ruin and destruction. A reprobate mind that knows no goodness and rejects God can lead us in no other direction. These four are not the only officials with corrupted or reprobate minds, but they are the leaders and are the first we must stop. All public officials need to be investigated and conclusions drawn. We could very easily add Sen. Mitt Romney and his particular brand of Mormonism to the list of individuals made earlier. Mr. Romney has more than once displayed his untrustworthiness to all loyal citizens through his behind the scenes acts to undermine our president.
We have two options before us. One is to remain unconcerned and let things go, even as we stray farther from the desires God offers for our country. We will fall farther and farther into the deep abyss of dark hopelessness and despair or we can become active. The second option of becoming active is to speak out, educate others and vote when possible. The only way we can continue to prosper and live the lives we have become accustomed to is through change of leadership. I prefer Christion leadership guided with the assistance of God. We need also to ask God’s help in delivering us from reprobate minds through sincere prayer, not idle words as Nancy Pelosi offers.
Old will not be old when I get there, but it sure seems to be getting closer…..
