The future of our nation is at risk of being lost. I say the word “our” because this applies to all of us: Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We must unite to take firmative action or united we will all surely suffer the consequence. According to the latest available information our population is 327,000,000 plus. This mass unit of people let themselves be ruled by 546 individuals of questionable moral fiber and shadowy or non-existent principles. The 546 are President, Vice-President, 435 members of the House of Representatives, 100 Senators and 9 Supreme Court Justices.
Recently our airways are being flooded by the above stated rulers with falsehoods and misleading statements. All of the above enumerated individuals have won their elections based on the rhetoric spewed forth of all things great and good. Never has one campaigned to increase the national debt, set criminals free or remove and open borders. Yet once elected that is precisely what they are doing. Truth has no place in the vocabulary of a politician.
If we examine the exhortations so loudly voiced recently we can see and hear the lies and think about their end result. As our Speaker of the House feebly rants informing illegal immigrants how to avoid arrest and deportation, is this not Aid and Abetting the Enemy? Mayors and governors busily run around ordering the law enforcement agencies to not cooperate with Federal Agents in the removal of criminals. Is this not Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer? The mere creation of Sanctuary zones is itself a crime of Harboring a Fugitive? All of the actions are punishable by fine and/or imprisonment.
Another crime is, Dereliction of Duty and can lead to eviction from office. Dereliction is defined as the “shameful failure to fulfill one’s obligations”. Malfeasance in Office can also lead to removal from office by either statute or recall election. Malfeasance in office is the commission of an unlawful act, done in an official capacity, which affects the performance of official duties. Each and every member of Congress has perjured him or herself with the statements they have publicly avowed to recently. Perjury is the intentional act of swearing a false oath or falsifying an affirmation to tell the truth, whether spoken or written. Perjury is considered a serious offense as it can be used to usurp the power of the courts that will result in Miscarriage of Justice. Treason is classified by federal law as a felony and provides for a prison sentence of up to five years. Are not all the actions I have stated in reality Treason?
Every elected official in our federal government has to take an oath of office. This oath is a pledge to obey the tenants of the constitution and all subsequent laws passed by the governing body. I feel our President and vice-President had strived to live by the oath they pledged upon election, and for the most part so have the justices on the Supreme Court. Congress is another issue that must be dealt with. The oath for members of Congress that is currently administered was enacted in 1884 and it reads:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the
Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and
domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that
I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose
of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the
office on which I am about to enter:
So help me God.”
Am I mistaken or has every elected person in Congress not violated this oath at some time after swearing to it and after they won the trust of the people that elected them? Are their actions not demanding the balance of the 327,000,000 people take action now? We cannot allow another election cycle to be consumed with lies and untruths. It these people are allowed to repeat these lies long enough and loud enough they will become accepted as truth.
In 2016 over 100,000,000 people sat idly by and did not vote for any candidate for President. That is not taking action and being involved. How many of the 10,000,000 million voters are now taking the stage and preaching hate for the winner? They do not vote, yet they are active and involved. We must become involved and active while becoming educated and committed.
There is a way out of this quagmire. It would take initiative, action and unity. I have tried to show the ineptness that is being fostered on us by the members of Congress. Each and every one of the transgressions I have presented are illegal and the perpetrators can legally, and need to be, arrested and removed from office. If we could unite and perform a Citizen’s Arrest of the entire gang we could accomplish this. I, for one am ready to do my part and I beg others to join forces with me. It appears we cannot have a successful Convention of States so our options are lessened. One could do this without the authority of an arrest warrant issued from a court of law. The ones taken into custody must then be turned over to the proper authorities and officers for subsequent prosecution.
This is drastic, because no one will unite and take the action. We are complacent and would rather believe the lies than make the effort to stop and correct them. We must seek that most rare of all things, truth. Once we know the truth we can be set free, and God will help all who seek the truth.
Our President and vice-President can never, by themselves, correct the corruption and abuses that run rampant in Washington D.C. We must help them, we must do our part. We can start by not following the lies we hear.
