Are you prepared for what may be coming? Am I prepared? The answer to those two questions deserve some deep, studious consideration before jumping out with an answer. I try to be ready for whatever may greet me but then I look around and see things I could never imagine and it scares the daylights out of me.
I feel I was pretty well prepared for the future when my formal education ended. I had no idea how the school of reality would change my preconceived thoughts. I have repeatedly complained and voiced my dissatisfaction with public education and then the brainwashing that occurs in institutes of higher learning. I did learn about Karl Marx, communism, socialism, dictatorships and parliamentary governments. I also had a relatively good understanding about how our representative government worked and the fundamentals of capitalism that successfully support it.
Now instead of education we are saturated with revisionist theory on history and the virtues of communism and socialism while in the hallowed halls of higher learning institutions. One socialist idea taking root now is free college for all, even illegal immigrants. Once the government starts paying for all college fees just imagine how expensive it will become and administrators and staff will be blessed with never emptying coffers.
We cannot offer free health care to everyone again including persons in this country illegally. The only thing that will be accomplished is the destruction of the best health care system in the world. No Bernie, I will not happily pay more taxes to have free healthcare for all. Healthcare is a privilege I worked my entire life to afford and benefit from. If you want healthcare Mr. Julio, get a job and get insured or pay out of your pocket. Just don’t reach into my pocket for it.
I feel most people my age range were prepared. We were educated and taught the rewards of hard work. Have we prepared the next generation? I fear we have not. I am in a situation where I find myself still raising a teen age boy and girl. Fortunately they share with me the things that are happening in our community. Unfortunately, testament to our not preparing these young people are the not so rare occurrences of teenage suicide and drug related crimes. It is the responsibility of people like us to change this trend and prepare our kids for their futures.
If the democratic socialists and socialist liberals find victory in 2020, I’m afraid I won’t be prepared. It is the education this next generation is receiving that makes them believe everything they are being taught and brainwashed with. I was taught, in depth, about a great civil war in our country. Yes, slavery was part of the reason this war was fought. Slaves were mistreated. White men owned slaves. Black men owned slaves. Yellow people owned slaves. Slavery was rampant across this planet at different times. Slavery is still practiced is some areas, not in our country. There is not one person alive in the United States of America today that has been or is being burdened with the sins of slavery. Yet we have many in Congress pushing for reparations for their suffering. To offer people today a package of reparations makes victims out of each and every one of the recipients.
We have no choice but to prepare everyone we care about and love. If these socialist changes come to bear in the 2020 election our country is doomed. All the educators will dance in the streets in celebration not realizing their near sightedness has cost us our liberty and freedom. Are you prepared? What will you do when these socialists knock on your door and demand you turn over your guns? What will you do when your taxes or doubled or tripled to pay for the pipedreams of the few.
We cannot let the minorities of the LGBTQ group unite with the liberal left and take our country from us. That will happen unless you are prepared to go all the way in protecting your country. Become educated, become involved and visibly active and above all, be heard.
Happy Birthday Saundra…….
You may think I’m wrong but you still know I’m right.
