Over the Memorial weekend I proudly flew two United States flags. One was at the front of my house the other was in my back yard where it is very visible from a main county road that borders my property. I try to fly these flags on holidays and for special occasions. Today I feel I need to fly my own MIA flag, not out of disrespect for the original POW – MIA flag and what it stands for, but as an expression of my feelings and frustrations.
I sit here day after day completely befuddled watching our Congress in non-action. I feel as though the American people have completely been forgotten or more accurately ignored. The only thing I can say is I think our Congress has gone MIA, missing in action. I repeat Congress is MIA, both houses. The House of Representatives is controlled by Democrats that are so consumed with hate for our President they cannot function with a sane head. Our only hope remains with the Senate where hope runs very shallow. Daily there are more and more RINO members forsaking the people and refusing to support our President.
Congress must be located and ushered back into the halls of government and start acting on the behalf of the people. Jerry Nadler has become an international, overstuffed, bloated, conceited embarrassment to us all. Nancy Pelosi is so consumed with fear and hate she cannot control her party members in the House. If you insist on impeachment, just do it. Let our borders continue to be an open path for every illegal immigrant from any nation hoping to gain their votes. Encourage states to pass laws mandating their electoral votes follow the public vote ignoring the Electoral College, the Constitution be damned.
We need action from the masses. I write with a message to the choir, no one else hears. Each and every one of us need to become vocal. We have no choice but to be loud. We have to let Congress know how we feel and what we want, we can’t just mumble between ourselves. If we would attempt to be half as loud, per capita, as the LBGTQ group imagine the noise we could muster and the attention we could generate. Every special interest group unites and raises the voices and guess what; Congress hears them and caves to their outrageous demands.
We are in the process of filling Congress with idiots that have no education or awareness about the mandates of our Constitution. They need to be reminded we do not have a democracy, we have the remnants of a Constitutional Republic. I’m all for public education but people need to be educated before entering the elite ruling class in Congress. Congress should not be a meeting place where popular bartenders and ignorant Muslims gather for their education.
Now the most outrageous of all ideas is emerging. This group of egotistical, self-serving, pompous blowhards feel they deserve a pay increase from the $ 174,000.00 they presently get. My God, how far are we willing to let them go?
It is not enough to state over and over to get educated, involved and vote. We no longer need to say it, we need to practice it and live it. You don’t need to shake your head and agree with me, you need to get active. We need voices that can be heard by the masses. We need more than we can get through the few I reach. I need your help. Don’t donate, just do something and be heard with a loud voice.
You may think I’m wrong but you I’m right and becoming extremely so.
In 1972, during the Vietnam War, national organizations consisting of families that had military personnel missing or in prison camps created the POW-MIA flag. The flag consists of a silhouette of a prisoner of war in front of a guard tower and barbed wire. The words “you are not forgotten” appear below the image. The flag is black with the images and words in white. Immediately above the image, also in white, the letters POW – MIA boldly wave.
