SPECULATE

Thank goodness this round of elections is almost over. Now we have the opportunity of sitting back and beginning to speculate on what the results mean and what the future may hold. Of course all this is speculation because none of the changes dictated by the election have taken place yet.

As was somewhat expected the Democrats did take control of the House of Representatives from the spurious do nothing Republicans. This may be a blessing in disguise. Since we, in good faith, sent certain individuals running as Republicans to Washington in the hope of achieving some success toward saving our country were deceived. The Republican controlled Congress has managed to do nothing but bicker and argue. It is a proven fact that Congress is most efficient when it does nothing. With a Democrat House and a Republican Senate, nothing will be accomplished. Most of the available time in the House will be consumed by the nefarious acts of Democrats trying to destroy the Trump administration.

The challenges faced with the recent election may possibly lead to national reform of election laws and procedures. One set of rules, recognized nationwide, should be enacted to restore credibility in all national elections. Hopefully the states and local organizations would follow suit and be able to count and process the legal votes cast in a timely more efficient manner. Activists in both parties will have to overcome the supercilious mind set they now employ.

There is a ray of sunshine and hope on the horizon. Gee whiz, the season for the 2020 presidential election has begun. It is time to clear one’s mind of the old and speculate on the new. Mr. Trump will, if he continues to follow the mandates his base gave him, be the Republican candidate. There will be a few self-righteous jobbernowls seeking publicity that will attempt to create minor distractions to no avail. In 2016 we republicans thought there was a crowded field when we offered seventeen candidates to choose from. At the present time there are thirty-seven democrats that have publicly stated their desire to be the flag bearer for their party. Will the name Democrat Party fall by the wayside and be replaced with the Progressive Party or even the American Socialist Party, only time will tell

Being shy and reserved while harboring a fear of being considered maudlin in issues concerning politics I offer the choices of my speculation. In the end, after all the weaklings have abandoned their chase for ruler of the free world, there will be only two candidates to choose from. The Democrat Party did successfully offer up a minority candidate and installed the first black person as President in 2008. Now, in their quest to be first in all matters and to capture the entire female vote they will narrow the choices down to two individuals, both women (I think).

The first person to emerge as a viable candidate will be the ever campaigning, fast talking first lady of bilge, Mrs. Hillary Clinton. Hillary has more total time campaigning for office than any other living person while holding the record for being rejected in more elections than most people can conceive. She will be a threat to be dealt with and will split the Democrat Party severely. Her progressive initiatives will be accepted and applauded by many of the younger generations.

The second person to emerge as a final contender will be the wife of another Democrat past President. Always looking for ways to deceive the voting public while peddling the long awaited arrival of the Promised Land will be Michelle Obama. A huge minority bloc of voters will fall down and lay prostate at her feet. These will be the choices you have.

I have just spent a lot of time telling people of the importance of the election we just held. I now say we are approaching the most vital election we may ever have. The choice will be Socialism or personal reward, freedom and liberty. We will determine the course of our country. I guess this validates the feeling that all elections are critical in some manner or form.

I know I’m almost always correct but I pray God will let me be wrong this time. Even so, you know I’ll still be right.
