SHOWDOWN

And on the third day we shall know the results. The time for guessing and polling has passed. The showdown for the critical midterm elections has arrived. On November 6, 2018 the polls will open and men and women across America will be given the opportunity to exercise one of their most basic rights, the right to vote.

In the event you decide to stay home on Tuesday, knowing inside yourself that your one vote won’t matter, I feel sad for you. You may think your world will not change but it will. We hold the power to determine the future of the greatest nation that ever was on this planet we call Earth. If you do not participate in this decision making process please don’t complain or show any form of discontent with the result of the showdown. You forfeit that privilege by not participating in the vote.

For the last twenty one month’s we have witnessed the most positive action in our economy in our history. The Dow Jones has soared to new heights that just a short time ago were unimaginable. Employment rates, unemployment rates and wages are in the most positive levels ever. Once again the Republican leadership has done more to advance the status of minorities than the Democrats could ever dream of. All the great achievements President Trump has accomplished have been ignored or lied about by the main stream media, Democrats and liberals. Credit for doing well has been nonexistent.

Most things that have been accomplished were the result of the work ethic of President Trump alone. Imagine what could be if our elected Republican representation had united behind his efforts. Of course this will never happen, it would take energy for the Congress to get off their collective dead butts and actually do anything positive. The responsibility for an inactive Congress lays at our feet. We continually send worthless candidates back to Washington expecting things to change.

This Tuesday we will determine the direction our country will travel with its economy and the poor immigration laws we have allowed to be created. The future of a border wall is on the line. We need more of a physical wall than our military can represent. If we are sending the military, let the military do what they are trained for. Our military should defend our borders before going to Syria and Afghanistan to protect theirs. Let the military load their guns before being placed in harm’s way. They will be facing an unwelcome enemy.

All hope is not lost. The utopian paradise of Washington D.C. has a special article on their ballot. This location which boasts a graduation rate of forty-five percent and offers no classes in civics or government is voting to allow sixteen year old the right to vote. That’s wonderful, just in time for the next presidential election in 2020. Of course these new voters will be for the most part Liberal Progressive Democrats. Their votes are assured by the repeated use of the single word “FREE.”

One last thought. If we allow the left to take control of the House of Representatives imagine this unique lineup. Nancy Pelosi could very well be the new Speaker of the House with Bernie Sanders chairing the committee that oversees all budgetary actions. The ever incomparable Maxine Watters will chair the Finance Committee overseeing all facets of Wall Street and the banking industry.

Please don’t become complacent at this late hour. A no vote is a vote for the opposition that we cannot afford to give up. When you enter the voting booth take a moment, say a prayer to be led in the way that is right. Before voting remember the words authored by King Solomon in Ecclesiastes 10:2 “the heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.” Even though we might disagree be wise, use good judgement and above all vote.

You may think I am wrong but you know I’m still right.

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley and http://www.justplaintalkwithjack.com We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too. My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all, when presented the opportunity, please vote.
