HATE & ANGER

Our midterm elections are approaching in just over two weeks. Every eligible voter needs to calm down and look at the issues facing us. In 2016 we had our presidential election and now two years later one half of the people that voted along with many more troublemakers cannot accept the results. This non acceptance has caused a division among our citizenry comparable to the division suffered in the 1860’s and in some ways continues today.

We have reached a crossroads where our future survival and way of life is at risk. The only way to have our country survive and secure the freedoms we enjoy is for all to become educated. We must delve into the struggle of being educated in two ways. We must read and study the Constitution of the United States. Only when we develop a full knowledge and understanding on the constitution will we know what liberties and duties we are fortunate to have. We cannot have others tell us what the dictates of the constitution offer, we must learn them for ourselves and be willing to abide with them or seek change and reform legally and legislatively.

The second front we must acquire education on is the candidates and the positions they are campaigning on. The campaign promises of some will sound wonderful and even seem great. Without being educated we will not know if these very promises are legal under the constitution or will be effective for the betterment of our country. We must know their stance on protecting our country including building border walls. It is mandatory we elect representation that supports strong fiscal responsibility.

We cannot continue to have two groups as divided as we have today and continue to be free. We have the liberal left that will not accept the results of the previous election and will not debate or consider the opinions of others if they differ from their own. The conservative right is as steadfast in their beliefs as the other side of the political aisle is in theirs. This angry, hateful division, if left unchecked could eventually lead to another civil war matching brother against brother and family against family.

The left bemoans the fact that race relations in this country are at a worse level than has been seen since the civil war. I have to agree but, at the same time I argue this situation was caused by our immediate past president and extreme liberal groups. The problem comes back to a lack of education on the cause and cures of these fiascos. The more education people of differing races and minorities receive the better all sects of society can blend together and live in peace. Hate is not a trait that has to be learned, it is natural, the ability and desire to love is a learned and acquired part of life. Where there is hate there will always be anger. Anger will not play a role in being constructive but will dominate in being destructive.

The political division active in our country is the result of an overabundance of anger and hate. Unless this anger and hate is controlled there cannot be a United States of America that exists as we have known in the past. The mob demonstrations we see being encouraged by certain democrat leaders and foreign interlopers is the classic display of hate and anger running rampant that must be stopped.

Hate and anger when fueled by ignorance can only serve to destroy civilization.

November 6 we must all get out and vote. Encourage others to vote and support the candidates of their choice. If your candidate doesn’t win, accept the loss, fight to overcome at the next election and live like a proud American.

You may think this is wrong, but you know I’ll always be right.

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley and http://www.justplaintalkwithjack.com We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too. My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all, when presented the opportunity, please vote.
