We all have had secrets in our lifetimes, however I have always been told if three or more know the secret, it isn’t secret anymore. We have all had occasion to be disappointed in the handling of a secret. Our government has many more secrets than required to maintain freedom, peace and security.
Right now the airwaves are full of garbage concerning secret and top secret clearances. How an individual that was a supporter of and voted for the socialistic communist candidate for president was given top secret security clearance in the first place is beyond my comprehension. Once given the status of clearance it is your’s for life. You are supposed to have your clearance status reviewed every five years and requires the individual to conduct himself/herself as if they were still serving in the capacity originally assigned. The five year requirement is often ignored or just given a cursory view and pass.
The numbers I have been able to find, as of August 2016, state that there are 2,711,000 non-military and non-postal service employees in the federal government. 4,500,000 American citizens have a security clearance and an additional 1,300,000 hold the designation of top secret clearance. What is the need to have this many persons in this country holding clearances?
I see no reason to have these excessive numbers holding clearances. Why is it not possible to get security clearance and serve in an administration then upon your departure it will expire in six months? Of course this would take common sense and in Washington D.C. there doesn’t seem to be any of that.
The current issue focusing on John Brennan, is much ado about nothing. Why this issue warrants this much coverage when there are bigger and more important events that should be covered is corrupted beyond reason. I have had very little respect in any of the intelligence personnel that are recently in the news. The orating by Mr. Brenner is looked down upon by Jake Clapper and some other of his peers. The more we find out about these individuals the more we see the corruption they wove into the agencies they worked in. Their actions have destroyed the confidence most Americans once had in the FBI and CIA.
I know, you may think I’m wrong, but I’m still right.
