There are times I feel I am living in world of total lunacy. The lunacy is displayed loudly in politics and has a great deal of an impact on businesses, both private and publicly traded.
In order for small, private business to succeed the lunacy has to be eliminated or kept to a minimum. The education one receives to maintain a business is not gathered at colleges and universities. It comes from the school of hard work and hard knocks. I know for I have suffered through the trials of small business more than once.
It seems that in the arena of politics the more one is consumed with lunacy the higher regard and respect of their peers they enjoy. Every serving congress person and high level appointee have their office walls decorated with degrees, honors and recognition. Look past these walls and see the true accomplishments that have been achieved by them. Very little. The most visible accomplishments are an art of completely wasting tax payer dollars and the ability to lie to their constituents with sincere statements and faces when they know they are lies.
Right now the biggest challenge to the survival of America is socialism. Socialism has been advocated and taught at almost every institute of higher learning in our country for years. Emerging democrats are now campaigning on a platform of socialism and free benefits to all. This is pure lunacy, nothing in this world is free. You will eventually run out of other peoples money to spend.
The only tool to combat this lunacy of advocating the virtues of socialism is through education. We all want our offspring to be educated with truth and knowledge. However, as long as we have elite schools, and their copycat institutions, seeking reputations of social standing and expensive enough only certain peoples are offered the opportunity of attending them, we will not attain a level of knowledge based education.
Donations of large amounts of money have little, if any, effect on true education. The high cost of attending one of these elite schools is caused by the vast amounts of money they have available. Not unlike the government these schools are a bureaucracy that only knows to pour more money on top of any situation. Thus the reason we have such overpaid administrators and instructors, they have never competed in a real world scenario. The education one receives is the reason our government is in the shape it’s in today.
Recently we had the opportunity to witness our government in action through live coverage of the questioning of several high ranking individuals. Have these congress people not been educated on how to ask a question? The rudeness exhibited by these individuals is beyond describing. This is the lunacy and incompetence used when supposedly performing any government business. It is no wonder we are in the shape we are in at this time. In this universe I have witnessed nothing more embarrassing. This all due to the high priced education our representation has received.
We need to be educated but we need to be educated by people not selling social status and arrogance. We need instruction by people that know our true history and the history of other nations. The prospect of socialism becoming the ruling basis would not loom in front of us. Let our future leaders get out of mom and dad’s house and make it on their own. Practice capitalism as their parents have and then their social status will be earned, not bestowed on them. There is no reason for higher education being the expensive adventure it is other than the availability of free money from government and wealthy benefactors that allows uncontrolled spending.
Education is vital but we have the obligation to help educate ourselves. We must be smart enough to know the difference in educating and brainwashing.
I know you may think I’m wrong, but you know I’m right.
