The hot topic in the world today is separation. Abiding within the constitution we have always practiced a policy of separation of church and state. The separation of church and state has become very blurred to the point of being almost nonexistent.
New mothers suffer severe anxiety after childbirth and the child being separated from the womb. We all suffer separation issues at some time concerning some particular issue. In recent days our Attorney General along with the Rev. Jim Jeffries have quoted scripture concerning the over hyped border crises. Opponents of the controversy will just as quickly quote scriptures they interpret from their point of view. Both sides are wrong and both sides are correct.
Since the inception of this country we have lived under the rule of law to maintain order. If you were unfortunate enough to ever have been accused by authorities of committing a crime and were taken into custody you probably suffered separation. If you had children, you were separated from them immediately. You were not allowed to take your children with you as went into detention. If no other family members or designated adult was not available to tend the minors, they were taken by officials to be cared for. Once released your family was reunited.
We are now inundated with loud screams of inhumanity and immorality of separating children from their parents when the parents are actively committing a crime of entering our country illegally. If you don’t want to be separated from your kids, don’t come to this country illegally. Why well intentioned people cannot understand that criminal acts are being committed, often with children that are actually not their own, is beyond my grasp of reality.
These children are not being abused by authorities. They are being fed, clothed, medicated and educated, better than they have ever experienced. In the worst case scenario these parent and child separations will last for a maximum of twenty days. If you don’t want to endure the separation, don’t come. American citizens, criminal or not, will be separated from their offspring if they violate the law. Should not the citizens of other countries, that are entering this country illegally, endure the same agonizing separation?
Again we need to invoke the power of prayer and seek intervention by the almighty to make the separation bearable. However we do have rules and laws, without such we will not have an independent country. Our freedom and independence is being threatened by the mobs of uneducated, under informed people that would, at will, break or ignore the law.
The only real solution to this problem is to build a wall, stop the flood of immigrants and send them home. We do not need to hold these criminals for legal hearings, we need to stop them at the point of entry and let Mexico realize the impact and do their part. As long as we are sympathetic we will be considered as weak, and we will be taken advantage of.
