THIS ARTICLE WAS WRITTEN PRIOR TO THE EVENTS THAT TOOK PLACE IN SYRIA ON FRIDAY NIGHT, APRIL 13.
With age we all become more aware of our physical and mental health. I pray I am not suffering the effects of early onset Alzheimer’s or dementia. The reason this is bothersome is I listen to the news and become very confused. As a concerned American I have difficulty establishing what is important to our country and what isn’t.
Today we stand on the precipice of armed conflict, once again in the Middle East. Our president proclaims it is time to bring our troops home and then amazingly there is a gas attack in Syria. We know Bashar Al Assad is an evil person, and we think he gassed his own people, but we have no hard proof. Could it have been some rebel forces trying to find a way to keep our troops there? We don’t know. Some facets of the media want immediate action taken even at the risk of involving Russia. I say, let’s find out the truth as to what happened then react in the correct manner.
Other forces want to ignore the threat of war and focus on Stormy Daniels, the aged porn star whose career they are attempting to resuscitate. Who cares if Citizen Donald Trump had a romp with her twelve or fifteen years ago? If it did happen, she was a willing participant, and it hurt no one. He did not use public funds to conduct this foray into the dark side. Can we honestly say the Kennedy brothers did not use taxpayer funds on their escapades? Certainly Bill Clinton is pure and did nothing in the Oval Office that disgraced the office or himself.
We have elections coming this fall, but to hear some people, it is already over. The republicans have done nothing to merit being reelected while the democrats have done all sorts of things to destroy their credibility and definitely do not deserve to be elected. President Trump was elected by a popular movement and this same force will vote by the masses this November. The election is not over, it hasn’t even started. It is a known fact that republicans and democrats both need to be run out of town. They refuse to hear the demands of the electorate and perform as directed.
We return to 2016 and the calls to support your candidate of choice. Each of us has to determine what is important and what is relevant and who best works for the betterment of our country. Educate yourself before dementia takes over and help keep America from falling over the tipping point of no return. We can only remain the land of freedom, liberty and security if we all become involved. If you do not want the Democrat Socialists to take control of congress you must turn out the vote. This election is just as important as the November 2016 presidential campaign was. Maybe we need to send more novice non-politicians to Washington. Mr. Trump has tried to do what he campaigned for while being blocked, ignored and bullied by both establishment parties.
Whatever the results this November are, accept them and help make America the country we have always been proud of. Don’t let liberalism continue to divide us. By dividing us, they can win.
No matter how wrong you think I am, you know I am still right.
