It is human nature for one to seek the approval of others no matter what you do or where you are doing it, supposing it is legal and moral. Daily polls are released stating the approval ratings of all elected officials as a whole or on specific actions or inactions. Sometimes reality can be extremely painful when it slaps you in the face.
President Trump is suffering with low approval ratings, floating between 35% and 40%. The elite main stream media thrives on this and does all it can to help lower his ratings and cause his administration to fail.
The upcoming elections will be most entertaining. We will see egos deflated and humiliation will run rampant. Since the middle of the Obama regime congress’ ratings have constantly gone down with only an occasional spike upward. Last November, during the election cycle Congress had an approval rating hovering around 30%. This is as a congress overall, Republican and Democrat. By the end of March 2017 their approval rating had dropped to 18%. By the end of October that had plummeted to 14% and keeps falling.
All this being said I find it very interesting that people such as Jim Flake the esteemed congressman from Arizona found it fitting to stand and orate all the ills of President Trump and vow he could not be a party to this administration and its shenanigans. Therefore he boldly proclaims he will not seek reelection. He completely failed to mention his approval back home was a whopping 17%. He could not be elected to any position at this time based on his past performance. Bob Corker finds himself in the same position. Unloved and unelectable in Tennessee. There are many more that know they won’t win, but rather than admit that they stand proudly and announce they will not seek reelection to spend more time with their families.
There is hope. America spoke in November and we elected an outsider. We had no idea how deep and wide the swamp is and what it will take to drain and sanitize it. With approval ratings being what they are, for both Republicans and Democrats, we have a chance to elect several outsiders. With enough fresh bodies and fresh air the stench of the swamp will dissipate.
Congress, I have a message for you. Go home and try glad handing all your constituents, make speeches and get booed. No matter what state you call home, your sacred seat in Congress is vulnerable. You probably aren’t as loved as you think you are. Farewell, go home and have a good life, just keep out of the public eye.
