We have just witnessed an historic presidential election. A Republican candidate started his campaign on offense and never once retreated. This is something entirely new for a Republican Party which has repeatedly exercised the habit of retreat and defend, halfheartedly.
Mr. Trump the acknowledged underdog beginning the first day of his campaign charged out on defense much to the chagrin of his fellow Republican candidates. His street fighting tactics developed and mastered in his business activities as a business man in New York City, and elsewhere, proved unstoppable. His competitors, fellow Republicans, fell one by one in disbelief, not knowing what had beaten them. Mr. Trump heard the voices of the unheard masses and stood the establishment on its head.
Conventional wisdom harbored the thought that Hillary Clinton was entitled to the office of president and nothing would stop her. Once again the underdog never wavered, staying on offense and proceeded to pull victory from the jaws of defeat. The Clintons, Democrats and radical left wing liberals have not yet accepted this fact. Encouraged by the liberal, embarrassed pundits and mass media, our country is more divided than it has been since civil war times. In fact we find ourselves embroiled in a new civil war with the functionality of our entire government and way of life hanging on life support awaiting the outcome.
The combined forces of the Democrat Party and Left Wing Liberals are putting politics ahead of the need of our country. They exercise every ounce of effort to develop a wider entitlement state to increase their voting base. They have now begun their own campaign of offense against the president and his administration. When two teams meet, both being on the offense, no one knows what the result will be, other than a battle in which no one wins.
Mr. Trump will not back down. He remains steadfastly on offense fighting Democrats, the judiciary and unemployed protesters. Most protesters, when confronted, do not know the reasons they are protesting. These under informed individuals are being blindly led to the precipice of destruction of everything we have known, fought for, and yes, died for. The actions of these people exemplify the adage “knowledge without wisdom is nothing more that information.” This information they know not how to interpret or understand.
President Trump, do not back down. Do not play defense as your detractors would have you do. You have heard the people and the people still support and back you. You are attempting to perform as you promised you would, and the people appreciate that. Judges will continue to create their own legislation from their imperial benches. Democrats in Congress will continue to erect roadblocks at every turn. You are not a patient person but proceed with caution and remember we may lose yardage on first down, but we still have two more downs before we must punt.
American people, please, become involved again. Tour participation and energy helped elect President Trump. Now we need to write letters stating our support for him and demanding our representation in Washington do the same. Legislation can be passed with our majority in control. In two years, we will have greater majorities in both houses if we accomplish our goals. If we don’t perform, we are opening the door for liberals, democrats and outside influences to win. Become involved and help our country survive.
One suggestion I would offer for your young administration would be: Have every person in government read, study and understand our Constitution. That is the supreme law of our land and will win in the final quarter. If we know what the Constitution allows and make allowances for, we will be unbeatable. Judges will come and go as will political opponents, but the Constitution will remain. I still have faith in the Constitution and will defend it to the end.
President Trump, we want you to lead the charge to make America great again and with God’s guidance it shall be. Adversity will make us stronger and our union will once again unite when we are greater than ever.
