Rich, poor, all colors, and all citizens are entitled to and should receive equal justice through our judicial system. The corruption we see in Washington has extended its tentacles into the Department of Justice as we have repeatedly witnessed during the course of the Obama administration. No citizen should ever be above the law however, this status has been extended to one political family repeatedly.
The number one responsibility of the President of the United States is to uphold the constitution which includes the security and safety of all citizens. It is becoming all too clear that the judicial branch of our government has strayed widely from the direction the constitution charged them to follow. All judges, no matter what level, have the responsibility of applying the laws as stated in the constitution to ensure everyone gets equal justice. Their responsibility does not give them the liberty of creating new laws that fit their personal liking. The Constitution of the United States is not a living document that changes with time or due to individual personalities.
Recently the politics and corruption within the Department of Justice and the judges therein has gone above and beyond so far as to limit the president from fulfilling his duties. Foreigners, not citizens of this country do not have the inherited right to come as they please into this country. It is a privilege extended to those that follow a legal process and qualify for entry and residence. We are not a country of immigrants. We are a nation of Americans that have created a means for immigrants to come to our haven of refuge. The intention is for any immigrant given admittance to assimilate into our society as part of becoming a citizen. Their responsibility is to learn the dominant language spoken here and pledge to obey the laws of this country. They have left their country of origin to supposedly come to a better life. If this is so, adapt to your surroundings and leave the laws of your former country where they are effective.
The only way that we can be sure of having equal justice in this country is to stop the practice of lifetime appointments. Laws can be changed, through proper channels, that will dictate all federal judges be subject to scrutiny and voted in or out of office. Once the judicial system is held responsible some decisions freely rendered now might change. If the President issues an executive order that is unconstitutional, it should be stopped. However, when the President enacts actions to protect the population he has been elected by that will improve their security and safety judges will not have the power to override, cast out or erase these actions because of political reasons or as a result of partisan lobbying.
The more I see our government in action the more I become convinced that many in Congress and the Judiciary have never read the constitution. Would it be legal or acceptable to demand that every individual elected or nominated for public office be forced to read and study the constitution before serving in the capacity they seek? It is imperative that all members of the judiciary do due diligence in performing their duties. They are charged with applying the law equally to all and all issues not interpret laws to their liking or rewrite laws. We are on the verge of losing our country if the judiciary is not controlled and made to act as constitutionally directed. Our most recent past President was proud of the fact he was supposedly a constitutional lawyer and a constitutional professor before entering politics. His expertise did not help him to obey the constitution, it enabled him to find ways to violate the very intent of the law as he saw fit.
Mr. Trump proclaimed during his campaign he was the one candidate that would restore law and order in our country. We need to wake up. We are living a new version of the crusades where followers of Islam are flooding into our country with the sole purpose of taking over from within. If you prefer Sharia law to govern your life and actions sit idly by, it will come. We need to follow the law and let only foreigners into our country that meet the requirements and standards established and want to enter legally. To start, BUILD THE WALL, all others should experience extreme vetting.
