Mr. Obama, the legacy you have referred to so many times recently, is not glowing quiet as brightly as you had dreamed it would be. I want to personally thank you for the contributions you made to ensure that Hillary would go down in defeat. In the end, this may become your single greatest part of your legacy. A new day begins today.
As I, as well as others, take a deep breath and let the dust settle from this political storm, we can all begin building our own legacies. This morning I feel renewed that I may create a legacy that will be looked upon favorably by my children, grand children and great-grandchildren. In the past I was lost as to the aspect of anyone having a lasting legacy to be proud of. My proudest point is that I can state I was a part, albeit it a small part, of the rebirth of freedom and liberty in our great country.
Now is the time for the future. We must strive to reunite all citizens as on group of proud, faithful patriots and freedom fighters. The road will not be smooth and straight but will have turns and bumps. The character of our people will be tried and tempted more than once. The future can bring prosperity and security as we have never known only if we join a common cause and desire.
We can always disagree but we need to remember the goal we all want. With understanding the wounds and hurt feelings will heal and therefore our country will heal. May we soon reach the point where we are all Americans, not secular groups of Asian-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, African-Americans, but true Americans that all are filled with red blood and compassion for others.
Let’s now begin together on the path leading to the best legacy anyone could dream of.
