FAIRNESS

Last Friday night I attended a high school football playoff game. It has been a very exciting football season.  Our school has only existed six years and has experienced must success both on and off the football field.  For six consecutive years we have been solidly beaten by the once only high school in Madison, Alabama.  No matter what we did, or didn’t do, we could not win.  In the eyes of the losers we felt we were always cheated.  If fair was fair and referees were always right, we would have won at least three of these contests.  But it is what it is.

In year four of our existence we went to the playoffs and quickly were eliminated after one contest. Last year we endured the same fate.  This year we are looking forward to the game this Friday night, it is for the second round of the playoffs.  Who will win?  We may know the winner before we actually know the winner of this election for president.

I have voted in every presidential election for forty-eight years. This has been the ugliest, dirtiest, smear campaign I have witnessed.  If fair was fair and we had people that were not so corrupted, this would not be the case.  True issues have been relegated to the background for the most part.  Our Democrat candidate has accomplished not one thing in her thirty years in public office that would earn her respect.  She has repeatedly abused the spoils of her elite class standing at the expense of honest, hard working people.  She has exhibited disgust for our military and fought to open all borders.  She has campaigned to extend the killing of unborn babies while endorsing same sex marriage.  These were never tenets of the Christian nation we have lived in.

Mr. Trump has a shadowed past in many aspects, but, I feel he does love this country. If given the opportunity he will attempt to return America to the great standing in the world we have held for years.  The mass media has tried to manipulate every turn in this campaign.  Fear of their loss of power has been the driving force behind their motive.  Fairness has been tossed out the window.

The nominees made and selections appointed, for the Supreme Court will endure and influence our country much longer than either candidate’s direct action. We can return to a constitutional government, protecting all lives, secure borders and a free way of life if we make the correct choice in the polling booth.  As you vote, take your phone and snap a picture of the polling location you are at.  If it is a church, it may very well be the final vote cast in an edifice of this nature.  If we outlaw voting in a house of God, are we outlawing the influence of God in our votes?

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley. We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too.  My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all else please vote.
