GLOBALIZATION
We live in a new age and new world with new challenges. There is no nation on planet Earth that can survive entirely on its own. Since World War II, and even before, there has been a rapid surge to shrink the world through economy and technology.
One of the most recent examples of combining resources has been the creation of the European Union. At this time the EU borders on the brink of self destruction. Britain is withdrawing and others countries are considering taking a similar action while Scotland wants to disassociate with the United Kingdom and supposedly rejoin the EU community. The EU was doomed from the start. Nations that did not want to join were coerced into joining by sheer force. Other nations were regretting their action of joining within the first year. Independent nations do not like having Brussels dictating their actions. Their economy, manufacturing, trade, imports and exports were decided by other countries representatives that did not hold the same interests.
The unrest and turmoil caused mainly by ISIS caused an immigration situation Britain felt they could not accept. Britain already has a huge Muslim population they can’t control, and yes, most of the bombings and acts of terror are committed by Muslims. The influx and number of refugees they were expected or almost demanded to let in was one strong factor influencing their action to vote to withdraw. As I have previously stated no nation can maintain their sovereignty and independence without having a secure border and controls on immigration.
France and the Netherlands are considering action or a vote to withdraw now. Which country is next, we don’t know? The entire collapse of the EU is eminent. This should be another lesson to the world that socialism does not work; it hasn’t worked in the past, is not working now, and will not work in the future.
In the event Hillary Clinton was to become the first woman president of the United States of America we could very easily find ourselves in a similar situation. The name United States of America could find itself being used only in history books in the future. This country is, and has been, a powerful force in the world in all facets of commerce and military. We have always had big dreams. Hillary is not different in this. The only difference is what our dreams and hers are about.
Based on the foreign policies she has helped to develop and promote change could come rapidly. Our present Congress has not the fortitude to stop her based on the non-action they exercised with Barack Obama. Our country would not join the EU, but would find itself being dictated to by, and adhering to the tenets of the United Nations. We would become a puppet state taking directives from third world countries. Our borders would be meaningless; our economy would be controlled by outside forces if we cede our control to the UN.
The right to practice the religious beliefs we now adhere to could be outlawed under UN guidance. Legal churches would cease to exist due to the taxes that would be imposed on them. A state religion could be created and one would be forced to accept and practice this, at least in public. How would you react? How large a sacrifice would you be willing to make for your beliefs?
Recent actions by the Methodist Annual Conference, or lack of action taken, can spell the end of Methodism as we have practiced for many years. If one is to take the Bible in its entirety, the acceptance of members of the LGBT community cannot be allowed to fill their pulpits. Yes we can love the sinner while we hate the sin, but we must have limits. The largest protestant organization, The Southern Baptist Convention, held their annual conference in St. Louis, Missouri recently. They adopted a resolution that in summary states all refugees, regardless of country of origin or beliefs, should be welcomed “into our home, our churches and our communities.” However their resolution did not stop there. They are publicly and proudly stating they will assist Muslims in building Mosques in their communities. Do they not realize they worship a completely different God?
Please all Americans, with my weak and humble voice, I beg you go to prayer for guidance and leadership. Talk honestly with your God about how much sacrifice you are willing to make. I know my decision, do you know yours?
