REALITY
If an individual has the patience and will power to sit down and just watch what happens, sooner or later reality will slap them in the face. This has happened to me many times over my lifetime, however, today I awake with a very unpleasant reality screaming to be shared. I will attempt to share in an understandable manner, which for me is often difficult to do.
I have repeatedly extolled my feelings about the rampant graft and corruption prevalent in Washington DC. Now I share the most revolting demonstration I have seen of corrupt government in action. This is inexcusable and gives the foundation to start a serious drive to expel every congressman in Washington.
The election of Barack Hussein Obama in 2008 began tenure of divisiveness never seen before. Race relations have moved backward, our military has been reduced to a shell of itself and the general standard of living has been stagnant or reversed for most everyone. This has all been due to a Congress that has done nothing. For several years we heard the leaders of Congress proclaiming if the public would elect republican members of Congress to give them control of both houses they would be able to stop some of the executive actions being taken or be able to break the log jam of bills occurring in the Senate. We were able to do that, yet nothing happened. Now we hear that it is almost impossible to stop these actions without control of the Whitehouse. That is pure baloney.
Our President and Secretary of State led the effort and succeeded in constructing an agreement with the nation of Iran regarding nuclear weaponry and lifting of trade sanctions. Congress cried crocodile tears while loudly professing the terrible agreement we were entering into, yet did nothing to stop it. In the heart of almost any congressman you want to name was the desire to let this arrangement stand.
Now I embark on the reasoning this has continued to take place. One of the largest companies in America has been a huge source of money to the political class. This same company has benefited from this sweet agreement where they could not prior to the pact. 2014 was an off year election, no presidential election; yet, Boeing widely opened their purse and contributed three million dollars ($3,000,000.00) to political campaigns, both Democrat and Republican. In addition to these contributions Boeing spent another seventeen million dollars ($17,000,000.00) in lobbying Congress. This week all major news outlets proudly announced that Boeing had just signed and received contracts for a multi-billion dollar order for passenger airplanes from none other than the Republic of Iran. This involves one hundred passenger airplanes. Do you still wonder why our esteemed Congress allowed these agreements to stand?
I have, more than once, stated that the exposure to vast amounts of money eventually corrupt even the best of people involved in politics. The treasury stated above is just such a pool of funding. How much of the combined twenty million dollars ($20,000,000.00) ended up in the hands and pockets of the same individuals that were decrying the terrible Iran nuclear proliferation agreement?
Mr. Obama with the aid of the Honorable John Kerry pulled another over on the American people. Congratulations. These two named individuals did not do this by themselves; they have the unadulterated assistance of every member of Congress to thank. Meanwhile these same egotistical congress persons revel in the glory of being called heroes and watchdogs of the federal government. Hogwash.
We have exercised patience and will power for too long. We have reality now, will we accept it and will we act on it? The time has come to eject everyone of them while we gather any money we have and purchase Boeing stock. Maybe, just maybe we can see a beneficial return in this manner.
