FORTUNATE

FORTUNATE

We in this country are most fortunate. Through good times and hard times we have had solid leadership that guided us over the road we needed to travel.  For the most part I believe these were God fearing men.  I also believe that same God helped these men make difficult choices.  Yes, we Americans, all of us are very fortunate.  Color, religion or economic standing have not deprived or given advantage to honest, hardworking individuals.

In the past I have written about unity and coming together to better help our country. Another subject shared was disgust or discord with the prevailing air of politics.  I have even mentioned family feuding in past correspondence.  Today I dwell on the subject of being fortunate.

We are so very happy one choice in 2012 was not elected and we are so very unhappy the other choice was elected. Mr. Romney must have felt deep down inside himself that he truly did not want the responsibility or challenges of being president.  With these feelings we are fortunate he was not elected.  Mr. Romney with his running mate Paul Ryan ran a well-funded, visible campaign for the majority of the contest.  The last two weeks he drew back, sucked in and almost became invisible.  That portion of missing in action is what gave us the complete failure we have endured.

Now it seems Mr. Romney is suffering from a heavy case of remorse. He evidently is having great trouble accepting the fact he lost.  More Americans voted for the embarrassment we returned to office than voted for him.  The only other person in recent history to act the way he has, was his father when opposing Barry Goldwater. He has had a comfortable, wealthy life with most things coming his way with very little personal effort.  Regretfully I must admit, I did energetically support the Romney-Ryan ticket.

This year we find ourselves being fortunate to have a person rising from the ranks of no politics or political skill, honestly seeking to do what Mr. Romney would not do. WIN….  Every time the opportunity presents itself, Mr. Romney publicly and loudly spews forth venom that is meant to destroy Mr. Trump.  In reality this works in reverse and does nothing but strengthen the Trump campaign.  This action by Mr. Romney is a classic example of why the American people are completely fed up with career politicians.

Mr. Romney, it is time to accept the fact you lost, people didn’t want you. Now is the time for you to join and support the party you represented miserably in 2012.  Either get on board with the people that have brought Mr., Trump this far, or just shut up.  You are truly making yourself look childish and bitter.  We are fortunate you weren’t elected before the people had the chance to see the real you.

Paul Ryan was the stately gentleman that was the running mate with Mr. Romney during that ill-fated attempt to head our government. Along with Mr. Romney, he is a failure.  In order to save face with his constituents he humbly returned to the House of Representatives to finish serving his term.  He played his return admirably.  With much fanfare he was able to get his fellow representatives to beg him, and then elect him to the position of speaker of the house.  Immediately upon ascending this throne he began the artful act of proving himself as a member of the good ole’ boys club.  Unabashedly he began leading his companions in granting every request made by the president.  In his spare time he has diligently begun doing his part to disrupt the Republican Party.  He has shunned the people’s choice for the republican nominee.  Has this in any way helped him or the party he says he represents become a winning entity?

Yes, it is sad that we are fortunate that the Romney-Ryan ticket did not win. Mr. Trump is the only remaining logical choice for the people that love America and want it to survive and remain a haven of freedom in a hostile world.  Mr. Trump may not be the shining example you are looking for but, you can believe him.  He speaks not eloquently but sincerely from his heart.  He does not use the flamboyant language of politicians, but rather a language middle American people working and saving, understand.

We are fortunate because together, we can make America great, again.

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley. We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too.  My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all else please vote.
