ENDORSEMENTS

ENDORSEMENTS

How important are endorsements? There was a time I thought an endorsement was something you did to the back of a check.  My, how times have changed.  As I grew I heard of certain people being endorsed to perform a particular job.  There have been many sports figures that have endorsed items such as shoes and equipment to be sold, thereby making money.  Many people of high visibility endorse their own line of apparel.  There are several ways to endorse or be endorsed.

The club of old, rich, white men now seem to think their endorsement of a particular candidate running for office will carry great weight with the voters. We have over 5,000 years of practice in governing in Washing D.C. at this time.  With all the good they have done, why will their endorsement sway anyone?  We need to endorse new people with new ideas that are willing to fight the system.  We need change directed to decreasing our deficit, strengthening our military and improving our security while inciting the public to become involved.

Don’t misunderstand what I say. There are millions of people involved right now.  These involved people include every minority group with all the special interests that one can imagine.  When did it become the responsibility of government to serve these loud yet small groups?  Our system of entitlements encourages small groups to be loud and act in unison to further their cause at our expense.  I find that those of us that supply the public trough of handouts are generally Republicans.  Definitely we are conservative, and there are some Democrats that share the conservative state of mind.  Those that feed at and live from the public trough are more likely to be liberal and Democrat.

Our border problems are sustained mainly by democrats with the sole purpose of drawing in more votes. The public trough is the lure for a golden life in this country, at our expense.  It is inexcusable that illegal immigrants often receive benefits, at our expense, and in turn contribute little or no support or financing.   This is the result of endorsing and supporting cronies, at our expense.

Media moguls promote the fact of so little endorsing of candidate Trump. Very few members of congress and a minority of the republican governors have endorsed him.  Based on their track records, this may be to his benefit.  He’s come a long way without their support.  A contributing factor as to why there are so few endorsements coming his way could be they know they will not be repaid with favors, appointments and lucrative contracts   It is nice and comforting to know we have someone that has not sold his soul to the devil, seeking funding.

Mr. Trump may be more in step with the founding fathers thoughts than others have been for a long time. He may just serve his term then return to private life.  With his success and his age I don’t think he will become a career politician.  What benefit would it bring him?   Never forget he is in this to feed his own desires and wishes and to satiate his ego.  It might just work out for him and everyone else, if given the chance to perform.  Again the biggest single roadblock for any person to succeed as President of the United States is the present do nothing Congress and party big wigs.  The time of an aristocracy has passed.

Fresh blood in the White House might be good. Could we use that facility to host a farewell party for the old, rich, white mens club?  What a ball that would be.  My bucket list should include being invited to attend this great event, want to come along?

P.S. John McCain of Arizona is crying that the Trump nomination is making his campaign harder than ever.  He has been a member of the do nothing congress long enough.  Another member of the old, rich, white mans club bites the dirt, maybe.

The thoughts and ideas expressed above are exclusively those of Jack Straley. We may agree, and that’s fine, or we may disagree, that’s okay too.  My sole purpose is to encourage others to think, study, and become involved. Exercise your freedom and above all else please vote.
